Wakonda Farms is a family run business, located in Bethany, CT. Started in 1993, but coming from a lifetime of equine experience, we've educated horses and riders, of all ages, ever since. We strive in developing the versatile horse. Our services include lessons (in all disciplines), boarding, training, trail rides, showing, clinics, as well as summer and spend-a-day with a horse programs.

We work with people that have phychological, cognitive, emotional and social disabilities. Equine activities are used as a recreational, educational and leisure experience. Emphasis on an enjoyable and relaxing experience provides therapeutic benefits in the areas of socialization, posture, mobility, and an overall improved quality of life. Structure and socialization or just bonding with a horse are the primary purpose of the intrinsic enjoyment of the activity including Yoga.

We are a 45 acre riding stable located in Uncasville,CT. We offer quailty instruction in English styls of riding - dressage, equatation, hunt seat, hunters and jumping. Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available from beginners to advanced. We travel to shows.
