Finley River Stables offers a program designed for students to learn all about horses. Our program, taught by a CHA certified instructor, emphasizes safety and offers a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to learn regardless of current skill level. Our goal is to teach adults and children to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to safely work with and care for horses from start to finish.The lessons plans include a wide range of skills from beginner to advanced. Our beginner lessons include education in minor veterinary needs, anatomy, behavior, hoof care, tack & bit knowledge, and so much more. More advanced students focus on refining skills and technique. Group lessons have three to four students in a class. Most students attend one class a week. We also offer private lessons for students desiring a more specific lesson plan.
