Doug Henry is the owner of Doug Henry Horse Shoeing. Although he resides in Volusia County, he travels for his farrier business throughout Florida. Doug is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Doug’s business, life, and family can be summarized by the following verse, “The righteous care for the needs of their animals” (Proverbs 12:10). Doug is an accredited professional farrier who has been in business since 2011. He is a member of the American Association of Professional Farriers. Doug has extensive experience in the horse industry both personally and professionally. Doug knows firsthand the critical role of the farrier in horses’ performance as he and his family have owned their own performance horses that were instrumental in their daily lives as cattlemen and rodeo contestants. Doug has worked as a veterinarian technician for Ocala Equine Hospital where he worked directly with one of the owners and leading veterinarians in the industry. Trimming all kinds of Horses, and anything hoof related.
Natural Barefoot Trimming, Basic Laminitis Treatment, and Trimming Instruction. For anything else please ask first as new services will be coming available as time goes on. More services to follow as the customers list grows.

New Customers starting 1/1/2024:
For each customer you refer to the my services gets you 5$ off your services. This goes up to a total of 15$ max per location once every six weeks and stays with you as long as your with my services. I am looking to work with horses from the time they are born till you put them in the ground.
