Mane on Fire Farm is a small, private breeding farm that offers boarding for horses of all walks of life.

For the boarder that rides, we have a large 60' round pen and two huge outdoor arenas with all-weather footing so you can ride your equine companion regularly, mother nature's whims aside. Our 9-stall barn offers 12x12 stalls and a design that keeps it breezy and cool in the summer yet warm and toasty in the winter. Hot/cold washracks help with that sense of luxury at horse-poor prices. Our barn has a quiet, easy going atmosphere that leaves the drama of the city behind.

For the boarder looking for retirement, broodmare, or young horse accommodations, we have lush, green pastures on 20 acres with foal-safe fencing, 12x24 foaling stalls, and a diet specifically tailored towards the special needs of the very young, very old, and very pregnant. We also offer breeding stocks, frozen semen storage on-site, and assistance getting your mare rebred in conjunction with our veterinarian.

Handling, starting, and training is also offered for horses destined for an english discipline. Our methodology focuses on the whole health of the horse, and works in conjunction with the vet, chiropractor, dentist, PEMF specialist, and saddle fitter to woo the most out of your horse.

We are only 45 minutes from downtown Dallas and 30 minutes from Sulphur Springs. Greenville and Commerce are just around the corner at about 10 minutes away.

Hogany Tops Farm is a hunter jumper training and lesson barn located just outside of Dallas, TX, in beautiful Edgewood, TX, dedicated to establishing superior horsemanship with physically fit, willing and content, well trained horses and riders. Accordingly, a consistent training routine and at least a minimum lesson program are pertinent to accomplish this goal. Training and instruction, specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation are designed with the horse and rider in mind and customized to fit each one’s individual abilities and objectives to reach their full potential. We focus on correct equitation in the jumpers as well as the hunters. All good riding is based on dressage as a foundation. Hours spent on the flat ultimately produce a fluid ride over fences in the hunters and an accurate and powerful ride occurring in a timely fashion in the jumpers.
All levels of riders, beginner through advanced are welcome in our lesson program and we have wonderful lesson horses for those who do not have one! Hogany Tops Farm originated in 1985 in Macon, Georgia. The business is owned and operated by Jo Beard, who was born, raised and educated in Virginia. Her love for and association with horses began at an early age, in the family barn, which at the age of eight led her to horse shows and fox hunts with her father. Her journey with horses continued to the professional level when at the age of 18 she was schooling, training, and showing horses and ponies and catch-riding at horse shows. Her professional focus centered on hunters and jumpers and as she developed her own riding skills, she became involved in the sport of steeplechase racing and took that to a highly successful professional level as one of two licensed female steeplechase jockeys in the United States. She has subsequently trained and owned hundreds of show horses and has consistently been successfully involved in both local and national horse show competition. Today, her focus is on the interest of her clients and their goals and aspirations. She has the experience (over 40 years of teaching all levels), and the skills and patience to take them where they want to go. Both Jo’s children and grandchildren are also very successful and well known in the hunter jumper world! Jo’s extensive experience in the industry has created a wide network of friends and professional associates nationwide. Referrals will be gladly given upon request.

There is a feed store within 15 minutes from our home. There are many vets nearby. We have two wonderful barn cats "Tally and Picasso", there is a pet chicken (Chick-Chick). Each have nice warm/clean places in the tack room and back barn shop area. Everyone falls in love with them!

We have two pygmy goats (Lisa and Tutu) that love horses and in the bad weather they like to hang out in one of the barn breeze ways.

Your horses will need up-to-date coggins. All animals will need to be de-wormed on schedule and shot will need to be kept up to date while on property. If you decide that this is the perfect place for your horses/animals, the monthly payment is due on the first day of each month plus water and electricity will be divided as needed per animals. There is hay storage and storage for two trailers. You will need to sign a lease contract, first month’s rent will be due (prorate if moved in during initial month and a deposit of $200 (non-refundable) will be due.
