Broken S Farms is a beautiful 84 acre rehabilitation / retirement farm located 8 miles north of Bastrop. The owner lives on the property and has over 10 years of experience providing pasture boarding and quality equine care.
Broken S offers boarding in multiple large acre paddocks where horses can graze on fertilized and weed controlled Coastal Bermuda and Bahia pastures.
7 day a week care includes daily feedings in individual pens, access to round bales and regular farrier services. Feed can be provided by you, or Nuterna feed provided for an additional cost.

We also have pasture boarding available. All pastures have run in sheds and automatic waterers.

Stall Board with lessons: $635 month includes 2 Group lessons per week on your horse. Individual Tack locker. Every other day turnout ( Daily 7x week turnout available for additional $40). And of course, twice daily stall cleaning, twice daily feeding, and supplement feeding included (boarders to provide desired supplements). All stalls equipped with automatic fly spray system.

Paddock Board with lessons: $545 month includes 2 Group lessons per week on your horse. Individual Tack locker. Sunday turnout. Paddock horses are fed on the same program as the stalled horses.

Full Training: $850 includes all weekly rides, does not include lessons. Twice daily hay & grain, turnout every other day, twice daily stall cleaning, fly spray system.

Rio Vista Open Boarding Stable:

Rio Vista has a separate facility on the same site that we call The Breeding Farm. We are a full service boarding and training facility that trains knowledgeable and safety conscious individuals as well as provide quality care for your horse. Our barn manager has a degree in Veterinary Technology and is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any medical needs your horse may require. We also have an equine photographer available for portraits and events.

Located on just under 11 acres, our facility includes a 80'X190' outdoor riding arena as well as a 60' round pen. We offer outdoor and indoor boarding, with two outdoor pastures and a 10 stall barn with outdoor runs. The barn has a tack room and grain room to store your tack and feed or supplements that you may wish to bring. A wash stall is also available right outside the barn's entrance.
