I graduated from the Casey and Sons Horseshoeing School and National Research Center after excelling in my professional horseshoeing studies and advanced courses. My main goal as a certified farrier is to keep the bony column of the leg in alignment wherein when the hoof strikes the ground, the entire bony column up to the spine absorbs equal concussion. Through corrective trimming my objective to achieve the above goal is to keep the hoof exactly as it was the day the horse was born only the hoof is larger.
