"Painted Key" Summer Horse Camp

Gait Keeper Farm partnered with Painted Moon Farm.

Campers will spend their day riding and learning about horses and ponies. Each camper will ride up to twice a day. Other activities include learning about daily care, the anatomy of the horse, breeds, colors, demonstrations from professionals, lunch, crafts, river stomping and much more. Our camp goal is to educate while having fun with our horses and friends. Your child will enjoy their day filled with pony fun!

Hosted at Gait Keeper Farm. GKF is a boutique full service barn geared towards hunters and jumpers from new beginners to Grand Prix show jumping. GKF's goal is to develop confident, quality horses and confident correct riders.

Time: 9AM - 3PM

Camp options are from true beginners to the most advanced.

We have instructors and counselors that can meet your child at his or her level and make their experience here at camp awesome. There is a low instructor to counselor to camper ratio. Supervision and safety is our main concern.

Example of daily activities
9:00 Introductions, meet horses and a devotional
9:30 Groom and Tack up
10:30 Riding
12:00 lunch and river time
1:00 Games on horseback or craft
2:00 Groom horses and clean stalls
3:00 Popsicles and Parents. Let's cool off and call it a day!

CAMPERS WILL RIDE UP TO 2 TIMES A DAY!

While this is a very basic layout, it will give you an idea of how we spend our day.

Campers requirements:
•Wear long pants and a tee-shirt (no tank tops)
•Have paddock boots or appropriate shoe. No hiking boots or tennis shoes ( bring a pair of shoes you can get wet; old sneakers or crocks: water shoes are only for down by the river)
•You are encouraged to bring your own helmet if you have one. If you do not have one, the farm has helmets available for use. Bike helmets ARE NOT allowed.
•Bring lunch packed in a cooler and a water bottle with name on it and a towel.
•Bring a pair of shorts and sun screen.
•If you have long hair please wear it tied back in a ponytail or braid.

Cost: $350.00 A deposit/application fee of $50 must accompany this registration form(s) in order for your space to be reserved. The $50 deposit/application fee is non-refundable and will be applied to the total amount due for the camp selected below. The remaining camp fee is due on or before the first day of camp.
