Sedan Stables is the home base for Cristine Etue and is an owner on-site facility located in the quaint town of Weimar, Texas, just 45 minutues west of Katy, Texas. Though her training facility is located in Weimar, Cristine enjoys traveling to teach many of her students.
Cristine started riding at age 8 at British Olympic Reserve rider, Anne Osborne’s training barn, located just outside of Austin, Texas. Under Anne’s guidance, Cristine learned classical techniques in dressage and jumping, and at young age, there were days she was put to the test by riding different kinds of horses, from the older Paint horse to a hot off the track Thoroughbred. Cristine excelled in the hunter ring, and ended her junior career jumping 3’3. After moving to Minnesota for college, Cristine began training at Fortuna Farm, a dressage and eventing facility founded by the late German equine master and founder of the American Trakehner Association, Max von Bluecher. The program at Fortuna Farm taught Crisine proper horsemanship and an overall passion for dressage and the beauty of communication between horse and rider, on the ground and in the saddle. Returning to Texas, Cristine trained with USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, Grace Harris. Cristine tries to extend her education by attending clinics throughout the country with internationally renowned riders and horsemanship experts. She believes versatility and cross-training is the key to happy horses.
She is active in the United States Equestrian Federation, American Riding Instructors Association, Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America and the United States Hunter Jumper Association and the Texas Hunter Jumper Association. She is certified in SafeSport and Concussion Awareness. She is a certified IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) Coach for 2020-2021. Cristine will be sitting for the Level 1 American Riding Instructors Certification Exam in June.
