Hi there, my name is Derek Moores, owner/farrier of Big Sky. I graduated from Five Star Horseshoeing School in Minco, Oklahoma under instruction from Dusty Franklin AWCF, CJF in 2017. I have also apprenticed alongside Kyle Skinner for over 2 years.

I offer complete hoof care for all equine animals. Barefoot trims, corrective trims, steel and aluminum shoes, therapeutic shoeing, handmade shoes, etc. I grew up with horses and have always gotten along with them very well, I understand the value of working with them, not against them. I am an incredibly hard worker and never back away from a serious challenge, but always take time for quality results. I really do care for the complete health of the animal and try to observe as much as I can to help them be as comfortable as possible.
