Horse Camps in Central, South Carolina (Pickens County)

Horseback camp is divided into two periods that equate to a 9:00am-4:00pm schedule. Mornings are spent at the stables, where campers have the opportunity to learn horsemanship skills and have a riding lesson. Later in the afternoon, campers can enjoy fun activities to round out a day at the barn.
No experience with horses is needed. Riders will be learning proper horse care and management including grooming, pre ride perperations (gooming, tacking up, ect.) how to walk, trot, steer, and jump small jumps while riding in groups. This will be with or without assistance depending on the level of the rider. Students should not expect to do any canter work. Activities are introductory to horses and focus on having fun with the basics.

Campers in our horseback program receive a riding lesson each day until the last day when they have an opportunity to display those skills for parents in our “riding show". The show is also designed as an opportunity for parents to meet with their children’s instructors.

Camp cost is 375.00. Snacks drinks will be provided, we do require that parents pack lunch for campers. A non refundable deposit is required. Your child is required to have there own helmet, wear long pants and footwear with a 1 inch heal. Summer horsemanship day camps in June! All ages and ranges of experience. One camp session is reserved for adults only. Camp activities are tailored to the comfort levels of each week's participants.
