Western Horse Training in Texas

Burger Performance Horses offers a comprehensive training program that can be tailor made to suit your needs. We work with any level of horses and their owners. We encourage you to come out and see our facility, look at the horses and watch us train for awhile. You should get a feel for our program before you make the commitment. Training fees run from $650-$950 per month and board is included. Owner is responsible for farrier and veterinary fees.

Fallon rode her first reining horse in 1999 and this experience immediately had her hooked. She bought her first reining horse from Roger Brazeau, whom she later apprenticed for. She showed that horse for 4 years while still competing in all-around events on her other horses. It took her several years to begin specializing in reining, but Fallon believes that her experience competing in many different disciplines has only improved her knowledge of horses. Fallon has competed in and apprenticed with trainers specializing in working cow horse, cutting, team roping, ranch versatility, western pleasure, western riding, horsemanship, showmanship, hunter under saddle, and hunt seat equitation. She spent 1 year apprenticing with western pleasure trainer, Doug Baucom before moving to Collinsville, TX to apprentice with NRHA Hall of Fame trainer, Roger Brazeau.

We specialize in lessons for the beginner rider up to advanced-competition levels. We offer lessons in both English and Western. Beginner Private lessons($40) are always one student per instructor. Designed for students who have little or no experience, the following skills are covered: Grooming, saddling, leading, mounting, adjusting stirrup length, maneuvering a mount at walk and trot around the ring. Students will remain in this specially priced lesson program until it is determined by the instructor that sufficient proficiency has been attained in the above basic skills. At that time the student may either move into a group lesson or choose to remain in 1/2 hr. privates at the regular price. Our Private Lessons($45) are always one student per instructor. Private lessons are a perfect compliment to group lessons to help focus on particular problems. It is suggested that riders have their mounts fully warmed up and ready for the lesson in order to get full benefit from the lesson. I have a background in reining, but believe in putting a good, soft, all around handle on my horses. I have show experience in open shows, SHOT(reining, cow horse, trail, pleasure), ranch shows, and competitive trail riding. I am big on natural horsemanship and building a partnership with my horses. Not everyone wants to go show and that’s okay- I still believe in making the horse the best they can be!

My goal is to provide your horse with a solid foundation that will allow them to go in any direction, while also providing you with a safe, willing, and capable partner. All my horses are exposed to pasture riding, trail rides, trail obstacles, and schooling shows if desired.

I am currently working out of a beautiful facility in Boyd, TX. I have either stalls with runs available, or pasture access available. Stalls receive free choice coastal and blue bonnet energized, and pasture has access to a round bale and the same grain twice a day. Blanketing available upon request.

Plenty of references available. Everyone will tell you I’m hardworking and honest with my clients. I am very straightforward- if your horse exhibits dangerous or potentially problematic behaviors, you’ll be the first to know about it. I pride myself on keeping my clients and their horses safe and happy! Training comes with one free lesson a week to ensure horse and rider are on the same page.
