Horse Boarding in Johnstown, Colorado (Weld County)

We have a few openings available for mellow owners and polite horses — no drama please! We're a small, informal barn with one family horse and boarding for about six.

We provide experienced custom horse care, premium certified weed-free hay, 12 x 12 stalls and loafing sheds with individual runs and pastures with daily turnout year-round (weather permitting). Outdoor large dressage arena (20m x 60m) with shredded rubber crumb footing, a few jumps, two-mile maintained trail around our beautiful 80-acre farm, and close to several Boulder County and City of Boulder open space trails. We are a semi-coop barn community (work down part board by doing an hour or two of barn chores a week). Board includes two flakes of our own beautiful Starlight Farm certified weed-free hay morning and evening, and we'll feed whatever else you'd like your horse to have. Nightly "bed checks," free trailer parking, lots more.

Please note: we are not a retirement facility, for either people or horses. And: both people and horses need to be fully vaccinated :)

We are a high quality, full care horse boarding facility with years of experience to properly care for your horse. Facilities include a lighted indoor arena with heated viewing room, large outdoor arena,round pen, hot-water washrack, tackroom, public restroom and free trailer parking. All on 35 acres. We also have a hacking path around the property, with some obstacles to keep it interesting. Our barn is attached to the indoor riding arena so you never have to go outside in poor weather. We offer box stalls, with runs, and loafing sheds with runs. Our box stalls feature Nelson automatic waterer, rubber mat flooring, and plenty of shavings. We feed twice per day, including your grain and supplements, if requested, and clean fresh water at all times. Stalls cleaned daily. PreView Farm is a small equine facility perfectly situated between Longmont and Boulder. On any given day, you will see riders schooling dressage in the arena or crossing the dirt road to our neighbor’s cross-country course. The next day they may be doing groundwork or hooking up for a trail ride and over the weekend, they may be getting ready for a local show. But… what is a constant every single day… is the horses on the property are meticulously cared for… and we have a ton of fun.

We have a dressage Gold Medalist that comes weekly to train, but you are welcome to bring your own trainer.

The facility has stalls with runs and a large outdoor paddock with a shed. The three separate pastures are irrigated and ideal for turnout in groups or alone.

There is a 100 x 200 outdoor arena (set up for dressage or jumping), a hot/cold wash stall, and a mile long galloping track, miles of dirt roads for hacking, and a cross-country course across the street that boarders can negotiate to use.

A small and private facility boasting the best of both boarding worlds. We have a large 120X240 outdoor arena, round pen, and large turnout pastures. Your horses can be in either a pasture facility with state of the art shelters, or in our BRAND NEW 12X12 stalls with runs attached. Turnout is included if desired. Blanketing and unblanketing is also available and included if desired. Hay storage available. You can provide your own grain and hay, or I will and simply charge you what I pay. This is not the typical boarding facility filled with people who want to tell you everything about how to ride and care for your horse, it is a small private place with horse people who love what they do. I'm very particular about the clients I allow, and likewise, the horses that are here. I love on site, so your horses will always have someone watching over them. Safety is my biggest concern, as is your enjoyment of your horse. Trails right off the property (literally through the front gate) around through fields and into the country. Located 3 miles north of the CSU campus, Four Winds has been family owned and operated for 30+ years. Our Equestrian Facility services the northern Colorado region, offering horse boarding, horse sales, horse training and riding lessons.
