Beautiful 12 acre property with two ponds, a creek, and 8 turn outs varying in size from paddocks with room for three horses comfortably to pastures with room enough for ten. The barn is semi private with 17 stalls 12x12 in size. Heated tack room, heated feed room, and heated viewing room/lounge. The lounge is on the second floor and over looks the entire arena. Lounge has counters and cabinets. large indoor arena with good footing and outdoor arena with new fencing in progress. We are open to all types of riding and have both hunter and event trainingavailable.There are several forest preserves near by and we have our own mini cross country course. We hay and grain twice a day with a customized feeding plan for each horse (which is hard to find at most barns). We strive to offer a welcoming, safe environment to boarders of all ages and any type of horses other than stallions and draft breeds.

Lone Ridge offers stall or paddock boarding on our 45 acre farm including trails. Only 1/4 mile to Moraine View State Park. Our 10 x 12 stalls are rubber matted and we well maintain the 66 x 140 indoor arena with premium lighting & LiteStride no dust footing and our recently redone 160 x 180 outdoor arena. Climate controlled viewing room, tack room with individual tack cabinets. Experienced, educated owner operators live on site.

Stalls cleaned at least 2x daily, every day. Lots of group and limited private turnout. We feed only high quality hay, 4 times a day when inside and free choice large squares, quality rounds, or grass pastures when outside. We offer Purina Strategy as our barn grain as needed and options to feed other supplements/grain provided by boarder.

On site instructor providing lessons for hunters/jumpers, basic dressage and beginner western riding.

We also host a competitive Equestrian team.

Then look no further! We take great pride in getting to know each of our horses and what their needs are. We believe in horses living as natural of a life as possible. That means when they get turned out in the morning after their grain they have unlimited access to hay. No more hearing that horses are fed 2x a day, we believe in ALL DAY!

When they come in at night they are given their nightly grain as well as, the amount of hay that they need. One amount does not fit all horses! One of our horses gets a bale of hay in the evening :)

It is our belief that when temperatures dip low that horses need a little something extra, so they are also given beet pulp on those chilly days, at no extra cost to you!

Not only will you love our personal attention given to each horse, you are sure to love all the amenities with our barn.

Whether you ride English or Western, compete or just trail ride our barn has everything you could want and need. We also have a trainer on staff who would be more than happy to further you in any discipline.

We are a private barn with only 15 stalls located in Manhattan, IL.

Either mares or geldings as long as they are well mannered , sorry** No kickers, or aggresive tendencies, No vices (NO cribbers, stall kickers, fence pacers, panikers..etc... we just have peace amongst owners and horses.. You break it you fix it policy because we are a rented facility). This is a place for horses that need serene environments.
Candiate horse should be able to share their food with friends with no aggression.

No hidden charges for supplements, boots, blankets. We all pitch in and help each other out for the sake of our horses! We are as laid back super easy going and friendly as can be for both horse & human.

**Most important factor is to mesh a well mannered calm/gentle peaceful herd. Spring/summer the pastures are very lush. Open to discussing different scenarios and accomodations for your horse.

Costs:
Board: $575 + shavings(+ small security deposit), this includes all of the above.
Owner: pays for shavings as you need it, our barn is stocked with shaving and you tally them as you use and only get charged for usage which keeps the boarders fees down because horses are out all day cost tends to be less than most barns.
Owner: supplies the feed you choose to use.

Trainers welcome, and/or possible arena rental available. Will be looked at on a case by case basis.

We have a heated waiting room with viewing glass windows (water cooler and restroom), a 60 X 90 indoor riding arena, a 250 X 150 outdoor riding arena, a regulation size round pen, twenty-three 10 X 12 stalls, 30 acres of pasture turnout (re-seeded in native grasses), stalls cleaned daily, horses brought into their stalls twice daily for feedings, only 5 miles from Moraine View State Park (with over 15 miles of riding trails).
