At McComb Family Stables you’ll enjoy a beautiful country setting that is conveniently located and very easy to get to. We have 14 acres of lush, carefully maintained Timothy, Orchard and blue grass pastures, and a large outdoor riding arena. We feed grain and hay twice daily, provide plenty of fresh water, turn your horses out daily and of course clean your horses stall. The road setbacks are very generous all around us and our boarders venture out on long fun rides. Additionally, there is a 60 acre park being constructed a couple miles to our East with a walking trail leading to it that you’ll be able to access at the North end of our property. Sommers Lane Equestrian Center is a full-care boarding and training facility located in Cicero, IN. The facility is semi-private with only 8 stalls available to outside boarders. This allows maximum customization for each horse and boarder. Our facility is designed to accommodate riders and horses of all ages, disciplines and riding levels.
We are dedicated to SAFE and SUCCESSFUL riding for all disciplines. On-site owner and trainer teaches biomechanically correct riding, which is the foundation you need to succeed in any/every discipline.
We believe even the highest level of sport horse can be exactly that.. a horse. We offer 16-18 hour daily turn out, non-grain-based diets, low sugar and starch hay, herbal supplements, and barefoot trimming.

Rocking Horse Farm is a full care facility with custom capabilities. We offer 10 x 10 well lit, open, and airy stalls with no overhead lofts for lots of light and less dust. Daily turn-out with weather permitting, grass pastures and each horse is hand walked to each turn-out no runs or outs. Stalls cleaned daily. Large outdoor lighted arena and indoor arena with minimal dust footing. Trailer parking is available.

First Generation Stables is a Private boarding facility for your horse(s).- The stable was established in 1994 with over 35+ years of professional horse & boarding experience.

We have 6 stalls in total so this guarantees a very private setting for your enjoyment.

Recent updates: Old fencing was replaced with new three board Kentucky Style fencing in July 2016, and stall fronts were updated in September 2023.

There are a total of 16.5 acres divided into 6 pastures to ensure plenty of grazing.

Stalls are custom built with 2” oak boards that include custom steel Dutch doors for plenty of fresh air, only outdoor rated professional style enclosed barn fans are used in the stalls for safety of the horses, -no box fans-, Stalls are bedded with quality pelleted pine bedding, heated water buckets are provided when needed indoors and out, each stall has outlets and LED lights, a tack box is provided for your personal items, a saddle rack is available for your saddle and pad, and a custom personal rodent free grain bin is provided for your feed as well.

Updated LED lighting is located throughout the interior of the barn as well as outdoors. All feeding, stall cleaning, daily horse care inspection, and maintenance is provided by the on site owners.

First Generation Stables is 1/4 mile off the road on Indy’s Southeast side and not visible to the street and surrounded by farm fields all within Indianapolis, In. with plenty of space to ride!

We are a small private barn with limited stalls available. If you are looking for a small family friendly atmosphere we are the place for you. Our focus is on the best care for our horses. And treating our boarders like family. We have 6 acres and an outdoor riding area, the barn sets off the road and is well insulated for the winter and open and breezy for the summer. Fans on all the stalls heated water buckets in the winter. We feed the highest quality grass blend hay we can find and Purina feeds day. We have regular visits from our farrier.
