Lower Cross Farm is a small, relaxing stable in Saddle River New Jersey. Lower Cross Farm is home to 12 loving horses. Some which are boarders and some which are our very own. All three of our Welsh Ponies are USEF National and/or, Reserve Regional and/or, National Champions. Also one of our ponies is inducted into the horse stars of fame. Oxbow Stables of Hamburg, NJ, home of the educated rider, celebrates its 50th year of teaching proper horsemanship.Oxbow stables is a hands-on environment for people who love horses. The main disciplines consist of Dressage, Eventing and Show Jumping, but all horse people are welcome. A Saturday program is offered for young equestrians ages 6 to 17, in which students have a weekly class and are taught from the United States Pony Club Manual. Oxbow Stables, Inc. is a United States Pony Club Center, (official or recognized) and is also the proud home of the Oxbow Raiders 4-H Club since 1963, one of the oldest clubs in New Jersey. The club meets twice a month. In addition to a riding lesson, students work in the barn to learn horse care and grooming. All boarders have free access to the well-maintained half-mile training track, the lighted riding arena with jumps, and the large jump field. There are, of course, miles of trails into forest land.

All disciplines are welcome: English, Western, Hunter-Jumper, Dressage. Children and beginners are welcome.
There is a friendly and professional staff, under the guidance of Ginette Michelet, who has 35 years
with horses. She has competed successfully in Eventing and Dressage. She is known for her training of young horses and re-schooling of older ones. Her riding lessons are a fun learning experience for rider and horse.
There are horses available for sale, lease and half-board.
