We are located on 6.5 acres with immediate access to 2500 acres of trails, and just a short drive to the Sebastian River State Preserve. Flatwoods Farm is a nature lover's paradise. The immediate trail access and exquisite native flora and fauna make Flatwoods Farm one of the best boarding barns in Brevard county. Upon graduating high school, I was gifted my dream horse (rescue) Spirit. I was fortunate enough to take him to college with me. I attended the University of Central Florida where I studied Biology and competed on the school's equestrian team. While in school I worked as a horseback riding instructor in Orlando, teaching beginner and intermediate lessons to both children and adults. I taught both English and Western basics, but most of my riding experience is Western including horsemanship, reining, trail, pleasure and speed events. Upon graduating, I moved back home to Palm Bay and now work for Brevard County as a Park Ranger. I started Flatwoods Farm to continue my passion for horses, nature, and teaching; and to finally have my heart horse, Spirit, at home. Current amenities: Private 5 stall center aisle barn on 6.5 acres, owner lives on premises, matted 10x12 stalls with attached run outs, automatic waters, fans, fly predator fly control, 200x75 riding arena, 60' round pen, two wash racks, tack room with lockers, separate feed/hay shed, feed/hay 2-3 times a day, night time turnout, immediate trail access, trailer parking, and more! Southern Pines Farm is a full care boarding facility located in Jupiter Farms. Our mission is to provide the best quality care for each horse, no matter the breed or discipline. Our farm has a dedicated staff that go above and beyond to make sure that each horse's needs are met.

The barn is CBS and hurricane rated and has a total of 14 stalls, each with their own sand walk outs. Each stall is bedded with wood shavings and outfitted with a "stall mattress" to provide an extra element of comfort. We have 15 grass paddocks for daily turnout- We accommodate day or night turnout as well. The barn itself has 5 grooming bays and 4 outdoor wash stalls, all with fans. The ring is a 150 x 250 sand ring with a full course of hunter and jumper jumps. It is well maintained and watered/dragged daily. We also have a 4 horse MK Walker and a 60' round pen for lunging. There is access to trails from the property, as well as a grass path around the paddocks to ride on as well.

We have two boarding options-
Full Board includes
• Top Quality grain fed twice daily (Lunch grain by request)
• Timothy Mix hay fed throughout the day
• Supplements added to grain AM and/or PM (Provided by owners)
• Feed through fly supplement added to grain (Provided by SPF)
• Water buckets cleaned and kept filled
• Stalls thoroughly cleaned 2-3x a day and shavings added as needed
• Fans on during the day/night during summer months
• Blankets applied/removed during winter months
• Fly spray system that mists into each stall several times a day
• Fly spray/ Fly masks/Fly sheets/Turnout boots applied and removed
• Hosed off or brushed when returning from turnout.
• Feet picked daily
• Daily inspection of the horse for any cuts/scrapes/shoe issues and owner notified
• Basic medical care- applying medications/coverings to wounds (silver spray)
• Night Check- Hay and waters topped off
• Worming/Fecal egg count rotating schedule.
• Administering Maintenance injections (Adequan, Acetyl D, Etc.)
• Use of Hot Walker (Boarder puts horse on/Takes horse off)

Full Grooming/Tack Up Board includes-
• Full Groom-Currying full body, brushing, feet cleaned, and hoof dressing applied
• Thrush care/ treatment
• Mane and tail maintained
• Rain rot/ fungus prevention/ treatment
• Bath once a week
• Medical care/rehab- Bandage changes, leg wraps, ice boots on/off, medications administered as needed
