We are a family owned and operated farm in Lockport, IL with 20 horse stalls on 40 acres. We have been running a boarding barn for about 15 years and have loved every minute of the experience. We have some of our own horses on the property and strive to treat every horse on the property like they are ours. Our mission is to provide a calm and comfortable environment for the safety and comfort of you and your horse everyday. We provide care for all types of horses. We have horses on the property that range from the ages of 3 years old to over 30 years old, so there is no horse that will not fit into the barn. We also allow for any level or discipline rider as well and love to watch people grow with their horses. 

We live on the property and have security cameras watching the property 24/7 to allow for the upmost safety while on the property. We are always a phone call away if any assistance or questions are needed.

Shala Farms is a full care facility with 32 stalls. Horses are turned out in large pastures during the day and stalled at night. We have a combined 30 years experience in the horse show arena as well as in basic care. No hidden charges for supplements, boots, blankets. We all pitch in and help each other out for the sake of our horses! We are as laid back super easy going and friendly as can be for both horse & human.

**Most important factor is to mesh a well mannered calm/gentle peaceful herd. Spring/summer the pastures are very lush. Open to discussing different scenarios and accomodations for your horse.

Costs:
Board: $575 + shavings(+ small security deposit), this includes all of the above.
Owner: pays for shavings as you need it, our barn is stocked with shaving and you tally them as you use and only get charged for usage which keeps the boarders fees down because horses are out all day cost tends to be less than most barns.
Owner: supplies the feed you choose to use.

Trainers welcome, and/or possible arena rental available. Will be looked at on a case by case basis.
