Dragonfly Farms is owned and operated by an equine veterinarian. We offer both pasture board and full board. Retired horses are fed grain twice daily, blanketed, groomed weekly and held for the vet/farrier appointments. Lay-up horses receive the individual care that is prescribed by their veterinarian. We are a boarding, training, and lesson facility located just 15 minutes south of Charlottesville, VA (very short drive to UVA). We love all types of horses, whether they be young or old, retired or just starting, or somewhere in between. We are a laid back family oriented barn, that prides itself on the drama free atmosphere and horse focused care.

Our horses in training go to horse shows and trailering is available to boarders who desire to go to the same shows or even different ones. We specialize in training, starting and restarting horses (particularly Thoroughbreds) so that they understand the job they have and learn to love what they do. We truly get to know each horse and understand what makes each individual animal unique. All horses are respected and appreciated here and given exceptional care.

The farm is a quiet and peaceful family farm with a 7 stall center aisle barn with tack room, wash rack, and bathroom, a two stall secondary barn, a 200 x 115 ft sand riding ring with hunter/jumper jumps and beautiful trails that take one around the property. Stall board includes premium feed 2x a day, high quality hay, turn out, and blanketing as needed.

Stall board starts at $500 a month, and training and rehabilitation pricing is tailored to the individual horse. Misty Brook Farm offers quality boarding and Dressage training for horse and rider, as well as beginner lessons for horse enthusiasts. River Ridge Farm is a beautiful private equestrian facility tucked into the rolling hills of Central Virginia and only five miles off the historic James River.

At River Ridge Farm we pride ourselves on providing the absolute first class horse care and management. Our spacious 12x12 wood finished stalls complete with wall to wall matting are designed with your horse in mind.

We have a large 200x80 arena as well as open turf fields for hacking!

Java Oaks Farm has one full care field board spot available in Hanover County/Doswell, 10 miles north of Ashland.

Laid back, private facility with high standards! Location is quiet and relaxing, the ideal place to enjoy low key, pressure free barn time. Care for your horse can be easily individualized. 350$ a month includes grain, unlimited access to hay, unlimited access to shelter with a graded bluestone base, and heated trough in winter and fan in summer. Blanketing, fly spraying, and small first aid included. No Worries Farm offers full board with ever expanding facilities including a lit covered ring, lit outdoor ring, trails, and cross country jumping field. The covered area is 72 x 150 and the outdoor is 110 x 210. The center aisle barn has 14 spacious stalls along with two wash racks with hot and cold water. The barn also has a large tack room, feed room, bathroom and laundry room complete with washer and dryer for your horse laundry.

*As of May 2013, we have NEW footing in the outdoor arena!
