Lessons and training onsite
All levels of riders and horses , from those that just want a safe and fun relationship with their horse to those that want to show and ride at a competitive level and helping horses and riders meet their goals and desires. There is no cookie cutter way , just a “one step at a time “ approach!
Offering western pleasure, western riding , reining , barrel racing , halter, showmanship, hunter under saddle , tune ups, trail, ground work / desensitizing , & beginner lessons .

Lessons
-Single lesson with own horse $35/ hour
-Scheduled weekly lessons ( minimum of 2 consecutive months ) with own horse $30/hour
-lesson on a lesson horse $45/ hour
-Group lesson 2 riders in group $25/hour/ rider
-group lesson 3-4 riders in group $20/hour/rider
-Tiny Tot lessons * ask for details prices may vary

Training

- single training ride $45
- Scheduled weekly training ride/ session( minimum of 2 consecutive months )$40
- Full training (4-5 sessions per week ) $500/ month ( does not include monthly board cost)
- Partial training ( 2 sessions per week ) $250/ month ( does not include monthly board cost)

$10 trailer in fee for outside clients , current negative coggins required

Full time and partial training fees due up front before training starts and training contract is signed .

Monthly board is $350.00 and includes hay and grain, matted stalls that are cleaned out daily, daily turnout into large pastures or individual turnout, heated water buckets and fans, blanketing (changed when appropriate for weather or per owners instructions), daily fly mask application and removal, and fly spray application (spray provided by owner). Our barn features a heated tack room with individual tack lockers, wash tub, matted 10'x12' or 12'x12' stalls, and a large clean indoor arena. ScotLyn Farm & Stables LLC Boarding facility completely transitioned to "slow hay net feeding systems" in all of our hay feeders, in April 2024. Slow net feeding generally provides hay in front of horses 24/7/365 and aids in healthy digestion, healthy stimulation, and helps prevents horses from having an empty stomach for long periods of time. It is also believed that slow net feeding aids the reduction of ulcers, colic and promotes constant chewing. Slow feed hay nets are also a great way for horse owners to help their horses maintain mental stimulation. These nets are designed to slow the eating process, extending the eating time which promotes saliva production. It is well believed that Saliva is a buffer that helps protect a horse from ulcers, colic, and other stomach issues. Slow hay feeding nets can also help reduce boredom or vices arising from too much time on their hands.

We have two openings for horse boarding. Large box stalls 11 x 13 to our smallest which is 10 x 11 feet. Stalls are all rubber matted and cleaned daily. Grain and hay is feed twice a day. Vitamins, soybean oil and worming are included. Our indoor arena is 60 x 150”. The indoor arena has excellent footing and the lighting is great. We have very dust problems in the arena which is great for horse and rider both. There are heated water tanks in the pasture with very safe fencing. Number of horses are limited to three a pasture. Limited trail riding is available when weather permits. We are a small family run stable. Only 12 horses are on the property. This means when you want to get some work done in the arena you don’t have to worry about a crowd. Horse transportation is available. Board is $235 to $250 a month.
