We are conveniently located just off highway 240 less than 2 miles outside of downtown Newberg, 15 minutes from Sherwood, and 20 minutes from Hillsboro and Forest Grove. We are only 3 miles from George Fox University. We are set apart by offering two indoor arenas, a huge outdoor arena (sand) a class-room/party room with bathroom, a ¾ mile outdoor track, trail course, and many other amenities. Are you looking for a nice country barn that allows you and your horse to play without any drama? Then Mauna Lio Ranch is for you! We offer full care boarding, western riding lessons (for a small fee),and a modest sized covered arena.

If you want to just ride, but do not have a horse, then you can rent my personal horses for a nominal fee to enjoy whenever you want.

My private barn is located on Parrett Mountain Road and it has views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. Jefferson. There are riding trails on the property and the surrounding area.

We do Dressage,English,Western,a little Jumping we have every thing availble to do jump though. We are also the home of B.E.A.T Riding center. B.E.A.T. Riding Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to provide physically, mentally and emotionally challenged individuals an opportunity for emotional and physical growth through horsemanship.

Phyllis Herinckx and Jackie Hopper founded BEAT in 1997 when they were inspired by the dramatic physical and cognitive improvements made by Bradley, a student with cerebral palsy and learning impairments, through horse back riding. Phyllis and Jackie wanted to start a program that could help others reap the benefits from therapeutic riding.

Today BEAT serves over 30 disabled riders each week, including riders from Portland and all over Washington County. We also provide instruction to groups from the YWCA, Head Start and the school districts of Forest Grove, Beaverton and Hillsboro. Riders at BEAT include individuals with a wide range of disabilities including Downs syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy. BEAT is a member of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) and abides by the association's guidelines for safety and operation.


Our primary funding source is individual contributions. As a federally tax-exempt charitable organization, most of the donations that support BEAT are tax-deductible.

We currently have three instructors. Two of our instructors are certified by NARHA and one is in training. The NARHA certification process tests the applicants' knowledge and skills in the areas of equine management, horsemanship, instruction, teaching methodology and disabilities.The "tools" of the BEAT program are seven highly trained and carefully chosen horses and ponies.

The riders and instructors of BEAT rely on volunteers to make the center a success. Horse experience is needed to lead horses, but not for most of the

Now accepting full care horse boarding at a fabulous barn close in to Portland, Sherwood, Wilsonville, etc! This is a professional and friendly facility where your horse will be treated like one of our own. Each 12' x 12' matted stall has its own 100' all weather run with Dutch door. BOx stalls are also available. Your horse will love the daily group or private turnout in the 14 acres of grass pastures.

Attached to the barn is a large indoor arena that is groomed and watered daily. There is also a large outdoor ring on sunny days and trails through the woods around the property for those days you want out of the arena.

Enjoy the beautifully remodeled tack room with space to clean your equipment and a lovely, clean restroom. Hot water wash rack with mats.

Full care includes daily stall cleaning, 7 days a week pasture turnout, high-quality hay fed three times a day. Blanketing and fly masks on/off. We will feed your grain and supplements. Professional management and staff, experienced owner on site.


Training is not required but if you're interested in dressage, our on-site trainer, Pippa Sowers, is passionate about Nuno Oliveira's and Philippe Karl's understanding of French classical dressage. She offers lessons and training that's rooted in her experience with Bettina Drummond, Andre Ganc, Carol McArdle, Regina Agren and Ross Harper-Lewis (in France) as well as Bertrand Ravoux as part of the Ecole de Légèreté. We are a family run horse boarding facility. We have 12 stalls sitting on 5 acres of farm land. We pride ourselves in taking special care of our horses, and yours!

We are a 25-horse riding lesson and boarding facility in Aurora on 24 peaceful acres. Our horses enjoy 12 x 12 stalls that open into pipe corral paddocks, and 12 x 12 stalls with outside windows. We treat our horses to turn-out on large grassy fields with safe fencing in Spring through Fall. Our well-lit indoor arena is 72 x 144 and our outdoor arena is 80 x 160 with sand footing. Friendly Family Farm offers affordable horse boarding close in to Portland. Indoor and outdoor arenas, hot water wash rack with heat lamps for warm winter baths, mud free paddocks, daily turnouts, large matted Noble stalls. Full and partial car

This is a private farm. I raised AQHA, APHA & TB horses. I have reduced my herd to just a couple of horses and decided to board out a couple of the empty stalls. The stalls are 12X12 with rubber matting. There is one foaling stall that is 12X24. One of the stalls has a turn out area, but most of the time I lead the horses to one of two fields during the day. Both fields have sheds to protect the horses from sun & rain. At night they are in their stalls. The fencing is wood in the turn out area and plastic white fence in the fields. I prefer boarding to mares, but would consider a gelding. I have foaled out many mares in the past and stand a palomino stud. I do not have an indoor or outdoor arena only the fields and they are not flat. I feed eastern or alfalfa, orchard grass, & grain. During the fly season I spray the horses for flies and put on fly masks. I will not board to a cribber or stall kicker. call and we can discuss boarding price.... See More

This is at a small private barn with only 3 stalls in total. One stall with my horse and another boarder is in the 2nd stall leaving the 3rd stall free.

The facts:
- 12 x14 stall with new mats & nest camera
- Daily group turnout on grass (gelding pasture) FYI: vinyl fencing no electricity
- All year turn out (rain or shine) min 8 hours per day
- Feeding owners grain + supplements twice a day
- Feeding Timothy hay twice a day ( +lunch when there is no more grass)
- We fly mask and fly spray as needed
- We blanket
- Owner on site
- 60x150 arena ( currently not functional but will receive new footing within the next 2 months and will then be fully available for use)

It's a relatively small property with 5 acres and although we don’t have any dedicated trails, there is the opportunity to use the bottom field for riding, or riding the perimeter.

This is my home and not a commercial boarding facility, which means your horse gets the same love, attention, and individual care as mine but also means there's no bathroom, so you've gotta be a bit sporty.
