Tara Best is the inspiration and driving force behind Stonehouse Stables, located on Lakewood Farm which is owned by Tara’s parents, Mayes and Cheryl Mathews. Full Care Pasture Boarding available at a privately owned family farm. Excellent care and right in the heart of suburbia, for only $300/month!

We are Located just off I-95/295. Only 7 minutes from VA Center Commons and 15 minutes east of Short Pump.
We are currently looking to open up our farm to a select few boarders.

We have great pastures with plenty of shade available and a 60' grass riding ring. We will take care of your horses just as we take care of our own. We feed Purina Strategy twice a day, or you may bring your own. Hay is provided as needed, year round. We fly spray and blanket as needed with your blanket. We will maintain a worming schedule with your provided wormer. As a work at home mom (our boys are 6 and 8) I am available to be there to deal with the farrier and vet so you don't lose time from work. We also use natural horsemanship training methods and will gladly offer any assistance we can.

We are active western riders and are always looking for others to ride with. There is plenty of room to ride and even some trails in the woods. If you are looking for a Dressage Barn or a Fancy Barn this is not the place for you. If you are looking to bring your family (KIDS WANTED) to hang out, go for a ride, and enjoy your horse and the weather, then this is the place for you. We enjoy a laid back, drama free atmosphere.

Tulei Farm, owned by Melissa Ofoia, is a top Hunter/Jumper barn in Richmond, VA offering an excellent riding, showing, and training experience for children and adults.

The Powhatan Equestrian Center at Quarterfield Stables is located conveniently in central Powhatan Country, VA just off Rte. 60.

Stall board is $350 per month and includes grain twice per day, hay, water, access to mineral blocks, and high quality bagged shavings are used in stalls.

The stalls are large and extremely well ventilated. In addition, the turnout pastures are large and well managed.

There is a tack room as well as a wash area. The arena is large with excellent footing and has outdoor lighting.

A round pen with sand footing is also another excellent feature of the facility.

Drinkwater Equestrian is a brand new facility in Williamsburg, Va. We have an 18 stall barn, each matted stall is 12x12 with an automatic water and Dutch door style window. We have a 130x230 lighted PVC fenced ring, four large turnouts and two smaller private turnouts. There is plenty of space to ride around the property and we are also minutes from a park with horse trails. We live on the property and take care of the horses ourselves. We take pride in the care we give our horses, my husband is a farrier and I am the hunter/jumper instructor and manager at Drinkwater Equestrian. We are open to all disciplines as well as having retired horses boarded. Our head trainer is on site 12 hours per day unless away at a weekend competition. Assistant trainer is also on site from 4-7 on weekdays and all weekends unless away with students.
