Well-established Keelona Farm is located in southern Albemarle County, convenient to Charlottesville and 20 minutes from Interstate 64. The facility sits on 75 acres surrounded by Farmington Hunt territory and adjacent to a top level eventing barn. For the last 15 years we have been specializing in detailed senior care for retired hunter jumpers. These horses receive the best in care and attention. Under our watchful eye we manage for your horse, administration of treatments or meds as per veterinarian and/or farrier instructions. Comprehensive daily grooming, hand walking and/or turn out as needed. Development and implementation of individual treatment/fitness/nutrition plan
that can be adjusted according to needs. Frequent communication and updates to owners, vets and trainers. Pampered retirement for the equine athlete. Riding to fitness is also available. Owner lives on property with 24/7 monitoring.

The PJ Williams 14-stall custom structure is centrally located on the property and offers many options that a foaling mare or injured horse on its way to recovery will need. It is within the close service range to four or more veterinary hospitals.
The barn itself has an indoor track for walking and jogging with stalls in the center. There is an efficient 4-fan ventilation system in the roof that pulls air up and out in the hot weather. Radiating out from the barn are many options for private turn out that can be large or small, pasture or dry lot, most with run in sheds and fans. The stalls are 12 x 12 with several 12 x 24 foaling stalls and an observation room. Fencing is horse-safe woven Kentucky Diamond wire with top boards.

A fully updated main barn that stables up to three horses is equipped with automatic water, stall ceiling fans, automatic fly spray system, and video monitoring. We are a boarding, training, and lesson facility located just 15 minutes south of Charlottesville, VA (very short drive to UVA). We love all types of horses, whether they be young or old, retired or just starting, or somewhere in between. We are a laid back family oriented barn, that prides itself on the drama free atmosphere and horse focused care.

Our horses in training go to horse shows and trailering is available to boarders who desire to go to the same shows or even different ones. We specialize in training, starting and restarting horses (particularly Thoroughbreds) so that they understand the job they have and learn to love what they do. We truly get to know each horse and understand what makes each individual animal unique. All horses are respected and appreciated here and given exceptional care.

The farm is a quiet and peaceful family farm with a 7 stall center aisle barn with tack room, wash rack, and bathroom, a two stall secondary barn, a 200 x 115 ft sand riding ring with hunter/jumper jumps and beautiful trails that take one around the property. Stall board includes premium feed 2x a day, high quality hay, turn out, and blanketing as needed.

Stall board starts at $500 a month, and training and rehabilitation pricing is tailored to the individual horse. Facilities Include: Lighted Indoor Riding Arena, Large Outdoor Riding Arena, footed 55ft round pen, and plenty of space to hack out with trails. Tack rooms are air conditioned and heated. Both barns have wash stalls (hot water!). Bathroom located in main barn.

Westwood is a 16 stall facility and offers multiple field board spots as well as private field board. Trainer on site with background of hunters/ western pleasure/working equitation/dressage. Actively competing and showing monthly at schooling and rated shows with students.
