Westover is located close to the intersection of Burnt Hickory Road and Barrett Parkway. It is a beautiful quiet setting just minutes from the Kennesaw Mountain trails. There are a total of twelve acres divided into two pastures and one paddock. Both pastures have access to a large pond. Large pasture has a run-in shelter, smaller pasture has access to stalls with tack rooms. Pasture board only or pasture board with stall available. All 3-board white fencing - no wires. Pastures are cared for by property owner - horse owner must provide for horse's care. Boarders have a large refrigerator for their use and a place to wash and groom horses. All disciplines are welcomed, new footing in arena with automatic lights that turn on at dusk and off at dawn, beautiful green pastures that are seeded seasonally, daily turnout, individual feeding schedules based on horse, 2 outdoor wash racks, indoor crosstie, tack area, stalls cleaned daily, sheets and blankets during winter, daily turnout, night time turnout during hot summer days, owner lives on property, and only a few miles from Dawsonville Forest with miles of beautiful trails. Russell Ridge was a carefully selected farm. William spent several years working at different facilities that did not meet his standards for quality. Some of the farms had inadequate turn out, turnout that lacked grass or forage, or no turnout at all, rings that were too small or had poor footing, and had barns that were poorly lit or lacked space and functionality; all of which he considered to be extremely basic and important factors for a farm. He began searching for a location that had the potential to have all the amenities he was looking for. In 2004, he found it. Named for the ridge that runs along the side of where the ring now sits, Russell Ridge had it all. An enormous open field that could be split multiple times for huge turnout fields, and room on top of the ridge for a big barn and ring with an excellent view of the pastures. Back then there wasn’t any kind of driveway and the top of the ridge was an extremely uneven pine forest, but William had a vision, and he spent the next seven years bringing it to life. Russell Ridge opened its’ doors December 1, 2011, and now features all the amenities William sought to offer; a spacious 12 stall barn complete with tack room, wash rack, and plenty of cross ties, an adjacent 4 stall barn facing the ring, a huge ring with a wide variety of jumps and great footing, 7 large fields for your horse to play in and enjoy plenty of grass, and flat, manicured trails perfect for a walking or hacking trail ride.... Royal Crest Stable is a stable with a laid back atmosphere that allows for you to spend time with your horse without the stress and pressure of a show barn.

Though we are laid back, we focus on proper care and horsemanship above anything else. The goal of this stable is for you to have fun while building a relationship with your horse, which will ultimately further your riding skills.
We specialize in dressage and hunter jumper, but any discipline is welcome. We do welcome clients that want to bring their own trainers. For trainers, there is a charge of a $10 ring fee per person, per lesson.

Full board is $550 a month. This price includes morning hay and grain (Orchard/Fescue mix hay and Seminole Senior feed), lunch hay, and evening hay and grain with supplements if your horse requires. This price also includes turnout daily, and stalls cleaned twice daily, worming (with charge of wormer), and I also weigh all the the horses with weight tape on the first of every month. In the winter, horses will be blanketed as necessary, and a night check is conducted at around 9:00pm nightly.

The stable includes a bathroom, a large ring, arena lights, spacious tack room, a fridge and microwave, a gravel turn around for horse trailers, large wash rack, and a tested fire alarm system with the fire department right around the corner. The stalls are a comfortable 12x12 and matted. Feed and water buckets provided.

We do allow three cribbing horses at a time since the stable allows for me to be able to put them separate from non-cribbers. They must wear a cribbing collar.
