Four generations of horse knowledge result in superior care for horses, including twenty-four hour on site supervision and daily stall care. Are you looking for a peaceful place to retire your horse? Whispering Willows Equine Retirement Home offers personalized retirement care for your older horse. We are a very small farm with the capacity of only four retirees so each one is truly a part of the family. Riding is not permitted on the property, but visiting and spending time with your horse is strongly encouraged. Here is what we offer.

Horses live in a lovely, rolling meadow with many trees for shade and a sturdy run-in shed to keep the weather out. A big plus is that there is no mud in the pasture because it is on higher ground than the surrounding land. Unfortunately, we do not have stalls at this time. They are fed good quality grass alfalfa mix hay from a local farm twice a day in the pasture. They are taken separately into the barn, groomed, and fed their grain twice a day with supplements added (if desired by owner). Blankets, if worn, are pulled off and checked at these times. Each horse receives specialized attention and care, complete with plenty of love and carrots.
