Come out and enjoy a peaceful, horse friendly atmosphere at our farm located just south of Grove City. Your horse will enjoy a large clean stall, hours of daily turnout, 3 meals a day, a deeply bedded stall and lots of TLC. You'll enjoy our attached indoor arena, office and bathroom, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your horse is happy, healthy and well cared for.
We have a barefoot trimmer on site, as well as two trainers. Money from our boarding program goes back in to support our therapy program and rescue program. We also have scheduled farrier and vet appointments, and chiropractor or bring your own. Though we specialize in colt starting, the family friendly boarding environment, rescue and EGALA therapies, we are constantly expanding what services we offer.

Hartland Stables is a small, owner on site, stall board facility where your horse will have the individual attention you desire. We provide spacious, fully matted stalls with pine shavings, twice daily feed/water, daily turnout (weather permitting), daily clean out, and blanketing/un-blanketing as needed for $325/month. Located within 1 mile of the Collins walking/riding trail and 5 miles to Edison Woods riding trails, this is the IDEAL location for those interesting in trail riding. Gentle Hill Farm is a 48-acre horse farm and riding school in Albany, Ohio. The farm is a serene, park-like setting at the end of a quiet, dead-end road, minutes from the bridle paths, horse camping, and other recreational opportunities at Lake Snowden, and 9 miles from Athens, Ohio.

Riding instruction year-round. Farm co-owner Katie Aiken is certified by the internationally recognized American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) at the highest level (Level 3) in both Dressage and Recreational Riding (www.riding-instructor.com). Katie is the only ARIA-certified Level 3 dressage instructor in Ohio, and has been teaching horseback riding professionally since 1992.

Summer day camp programs to teach stable management and horsemanship skills as well as riding.
