Jump for Joy Farm boosts a comprehensive equestrian program and horseback riding facility only 30 minutes from downtown Portland, and 10 minutes from Happy Valley and Damascus! We offer full-care horse boarding, an A-Z lesson program for beginners to advanced riders on our horse or yours, horse camps and pony club.

Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and family-oriented community where equestrians can enjoy their horses and other community members (human and nonhuman); gain real riding and horsemanship skills; take advantage of our excellent equestrian infrastructure, capable staff, and special offerings. We also offer lots of opportunities for nonequestrian family members as alternatives to waiting.

We welcome all horse breeds, disciplines, and riders of all ages. Drama and politics do not have a place at Jump for Joy Farm. We cater to like-minded boarders who embrace our mission and would like to participate in advancing it. In doing so, we offer a full-care boarding facility providing excellent care of horses and their people, ensuring both are healthy and happy.

Our boarding fees include the following:

Horse Stalls – 12’x12’ matted stalls with Dutch or yoked doors so horses can look out. Eight of our stalls have all weather runs. Stalls are bedded with kiln-dried cedar shavings that ensure good sanitation and comfort. Jump for Joy Farm composts its bedding into organic fertilizer which we use on our fields and in our gardens. Stalls are cleaned daily.

Paddocks and Turnout - we are turned out daily, seven days a week, (weather permitting) in a rotating assortment of large paddocks, pasture and/or arenas. We offer both individual and group turnout.

Hay - We feed your horse twice a day and offer three kinds of hay: blend of premium Orchard grass and Timothy hay; high quality local meadow grass (lower in sugar than orchard) and alfalfa. Our hay is tested and has excellent nutrients.

Around the clock care and supervision – Jump for Joy Farm managers with decades professional equine experience live onsite. Numerous contacts with your horse throughout day and evening ensure that your horse is watched vigilantly by experts in order to detect early signs of illness or distress, and act quickly in the event of an emergency.

Facilities – Use of Jump for Joy Farm's equestrian facilities, in accordance to barn rules, for your riding pleasure. Enjoy our arenas, fields, cross county course, jumps, club house, wifi etc.

Blanketing, unblanketing, applying fly spray and putting on fly masks or sheets
A private tack locker or use of a secure tack room
A plumbed toilet and separate heated shower
Feeding grain, vitamins and supplements you portion and provide
