Strait Gait Stables is centrally located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, between Corvallis, Lebanon, Salem and Eugene. It is a convenient relaxing oasis just 3 miles from the growing suburban landscape of Albany, yet it is far enough away to enjoy the quiet countryside on horseback.

The Albany Expo Fairgrounds, Oregon State University and Interstate I-5 are only 7 miles from the facility.

The owners, Robert and Mary have over 60+ years of combined experience. They have developed a reputation as dedicated professionals, offering a modest facility for boarding, teaching riding and horse care to all ages and abilities. There is a place for everyone at SGS, from the experience competitive rider to the beginning or pleasure rider. All breeds and disciplines are welcomed.

Double L Stables is a low key, no drama boarding facility. We offer full and partial care. We feed excellent weed free grass hay, eastern,OR alfalfa, and whole oats. If you prefer your horse to have a different type of grain and/or supplements, no problem, you supply them and we will feed them for you. We feed twice a day and clean stalls daily. We have an indoor arena, outdoor riding area, hot water wash rack, tack rooms, and turn outs. There are no hidden fees or extra charges here. We do all the turnouts at no extra cost to you. We are a family run horse boarding facility. We have 12 stalls sitting on 5 acres of farm land. We pride ourselves in taking special care of our horses, and yours!

Now accepting full care horse boarding at a fabulous barn close in to Portland, Sherwood, Wilsonville, etc! This is a professional and friendly facility where your horse will be treated like one of our own. Each 12' x 12' matted stall has its own 100' all weather run with Dutch door. BOx stalls are also available. Your horse will love the daily group or private turnout in the 14 acres of grass pastures.

Attached to the barn is a large indoor arena that is groomed and watered daily. There is also a large outdoor ring on sunny days and trails through the woods around the property for those days you want out of the arena.

Enjoy the beautifully remodeled tack room with space to clean your equipment and a lovely, clean restroom. Hot water wash rack with mats.

Full care includes daily stall cleaning, 7 days a week pasture turnout, high-quality hay fed three times a day. Blanketing and fly masks on/off. We will feed your grain and supplements. Professional management and staff, experienced owner on site.


Training is not required but if you're interested in dressage, our on-site trainer, Pippa Sowers, is passionate about Nuno Oliveira's and Philippe Karl's understanding of French classical dressage. She offers lessons and training that's rooted in her experience with Bettina Drummond, Andre Ganc, Carol McArdle, Regina Agren and Ross Harper-Lewis (in France) as well as Bertrand Ravoux as part of the Ecole de Légèreté. B&G Stables is a well founded self care barn in Newberg, OR. We have twenty-one roomy stalls as well as eight large and two small turn outs. Two wash racks & two tackrooms are also available. There is an indoor arena that is kept well groomed for training and workouts. Barn hours are 5am to 10pm Mon-Sat and Sun by appointment. Boarders have access to the property 5am to 10pm seven days a week as well as late hours for picking up and returning from events. Tack rooms are kept locked and only management and boarders have keys. Wash racks have hot and cold running water. Are you looking for a nice country barn that allows you and your horse to play without any drama? Then Mauna Lio Ranch is for you! We offer full care boarding, western riding lessons (for a small fee),and a modest sized covered arena.

If you want to just ride, but do not have a horse, then you can rent my personal horses for a nominal fee to enjoy whenever you want.

My private barn is located on Parrett Mountain Road and it has views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. Jefferson. There are riding trails on the property and the surrounding area.
