My experience with horses started when I was eight years old, living in Midland. I grew up on an 84 acre farm where I rode my horse for hours after coming home from school. I practiced the different disciplines that I showed in, then went on an hour or so long trail ride. I mainly competed at local, open shows where I showed at Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship and Trail. As an adult, I have broadened my disciplines to include Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation. I also now show on the American Quarter Horse Association’s circuit.
