Bijou Equestrian was launched in 2013 by USHJA Certified Trainer, and lifelong equestrian, Shelbi Heady. We specialize in locating and developing, quality, hunter/jumper horses and offering them for sale in the US market. Together, with our partners, our focus is to bring the highest quality horses to the Hunter Jumper and Equitation disciplines, with honest and transparent business practices.

Horse sales

The Horse comes first. We make your horse the best it can be at Dressage and jumping. Your horses value will increase with our training and it is important to us to make sure that your horse finds a suitable (hopefully longime)partner. We accentuate your horses strengths and strengthen it's weaknesses. Your horse will sell a better horse than when it arrived. Most horses are sold within a month if sent with a successful show record and within 3 months of start of training.

One Tough Dude is a NYRA allowance winner with earnings of over $236,000 on the track. Dude is by Rubiyat and out of an Allen's Prospect mare, Dress Fancy. Dude has a strong pedigree with some of the biggest names in racing including Fappiano, Blushing Groom, Buckpasser, and Mr. Prospector. He is a half brother to multiple stakes placed horse Rubi Echo. His sire, Rubiyat, carries an astounding 21 chef-de-race sires in his pedigree.

Dude is conformationally correct and is also a superb match for a number of other breeds. His conformation, temperment, movement, power, and athleticism are certain to breed quality racing, hunter/jumpers or eventing prospects.
