Bijou Equestrian was launched in 2013 by USEF ‘r’ Hunter and Equitation Judge, USHJA Certified Trainer, and lifelong equestrian, Shelbi Heady. We specialize in locating and developing, quality, hunter/jumper horses and offering them for sale in the US market. Together, with our partners, our focus is to bring the highest quality horses to the Hunter Jumper and Equitation disciplines, with honest and transparent business practices.

Dude has a strong pedigree with some of the biggest names in racing including Fappiano, Blushing Groom, Buckpasser, and Mr. Prospector. He is a half brother to multiple stakes placed horse Rubi Echo. His sire, Rubiyat, carries an astounding 21 chef-de-race sires in his pedigree.

Dude is conformationally correct and is also a superb match for a number of other breeds. His conformation, temperment, movement, power, and athleticism are certain to breed quality racing, hunter/jumpers or eventing prospects.

We breed Paso Fino Horses. We currently have 2 mares and 2 stallions for sale. We have Contratercero a/k/a Bud standing at stud. Bud holds PFHA national titles in endurance and long distance pleasure. He has competed and done well in PFHA show divisions. He was horse of the year four times with the Gaited Horse Association. He won the GHA's new millennium 25 mile Endurance Race in record time (1:59:20). He is champion of the GHA Gaited Races (2000).
