I am in search of a new home for Doc. He's been with me now for over a year and I’ve had some wonderful trail rides on him. Doc requires a confident rider. He has come an incredibly long way, as he was initially wary of people in general. He was started on a calming supplement, which has helped him tremendously. In the beginning, all he knew under saddle was forward and stop. Since then, both on the ground and under saddle, he’s learned hind and forelimb yields, back up, side-pass, push through small limbs/brush, be curious and play! Doc is fun to ground drive and picked up on it quickly, which makes me think he probably pulled a plow or cart in his youth. He lines up at the mounting block and stands like a champ. He's smart, learns quickly and tries very hard to please. He is being sold as I have not been able to ride much due to health issues. Doc loves being groomed and is a good boy for vet, farrier and dentist. I’d like to see him go to someone who is a soft rider, kind, patient and secure in their horsemanship skills, someone who will continue teaching him that people can be loving leaders and provide a forever home....
