Freelance Trainer with over 20 years experience, looking for a few (more!) good horses for training, showing, and consignments. I have -and still-train with several Olympic, Top National, and Record Holding trainers in the hunter jumper industry, and pass the training I've received from them, and from sheer experience on to my horses, riders, and owners. Outside of the H/J arena I have also gained experience in dressage, combined training, barrel racing, western pleasure, natural horsemanship (John Lyons), and ALL gaited breeds from Paso finos to Tennessee Walkers. I also specialize in breaking horses, as well as starting, and REstarting young, green, OTTBs/Off the Track, and hot or "problem" horses. I've been working horses that fall into those categories for almost 15 years now, and I use calm, effective, proven methods to give your horse the best start, or restart possible, regardless what their future discipline may be. I've started Grand Prix Jumpers, to Barrel winners, to perfect trail companions. Several horses that I've owned/trained, as well as myself, have been featured in several magazines such as Practical Horseman (pictured below, I started that horses career), Stable Management, and Chronicle of the Horse.
Showing is available for local and "A" circuit showing. I hold memberships with the United States Equestrian Federation as well as the Central Texas Hunter Jumper Association. I am also available for Playdays and Barrel Races. Whether you need your greenie to get out there and get some miles, or you want your packer campaigned, you've found the person to help! I've won several year end champions and reserves (as have my students), and have ribboned and/or competed at the Devon Horse Show, HITS Catskills, HITS Culpepper, HITS Ocala, and more. Interested in getting national exposure at some of the nicest shows in the country? Talk to me about my 2013 East Coast show tour.
