Physical distancing, hand washing & mask wearing for a max of 5 campers. Temperature check each morning before entrance. Lunch, lessons & crafts outside or inside in groups of 2 + councellor. Beginner to intermediate riding lessons (English, Western, bareback) in the safety of the round pen & smaller arena. Weeks for more advanced riders can be arranged, if sufficient interest.
Grooming, groundwork, mounting/dismounting, good body position & turning with legs, hips & reins, halt & back up. Inroduction to trail riding, jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, relays & equestrian games
Campers average 3-4 hours a day with their horse, riding twice each day. Close supervision in an enclosed area before riding in larger areas. Shady, wooded trail for practicing manuvers & enjoying obstacle challenges
Unmounted learning: Horse safety, breeds & colors, anatomy, hoof care, nutrition, tack (saddles & other equipment)
On Friday, family is invited to attend the "horse show." (Temp check & masks required.) Campers will present a mounted relay, a horse obstacle course & other demos of skills that they've learned.
We'll provide horses, helmets, tack, craft supplies, water & snacks. You'll provide bag lunches & your child, eager to learn everything about horses. Let us help make this summer the best ever.

$350 per week. Includes illustrated learning folder, t-shirt, wooden picture frame and horseshoe to paint, plus other crafts projects
$25 discount for families with
multiple campers or for
attending multiple weeks
$10 discount on your 2nd week for each time your referral results in a paid booking.
