Kismet Farm specializes in caring for the geriatric or laid-up horse. These horses get to be "retired", enjoying their time of leisure. Most of the horses at Kismet Farm have special needs, and those needs are met on a personalized level. There is regular and extra as-needed care from the Lebanon Equine Clinic and farriers. The horses receive full care -- stall/buckets cleaned daily, hooves picked daily, blanketing and fly spray application, etc. -- and have quality hay with diets formulated for their particular needs. The small, 7- stall barn is bright and airy. Amenities include all-weather paddocks, large pastures, all-weather riding arena, heated tack room with washer and dryer, hot-water wash rack. Pest controls are implemented, and manure is removed from premises. The refrigerator has cold drinks for clients, and a full box of peppermints is available for clients and visitors alike who wish to treat the horses. "Kismet Farm is what your horse's retirement was meant to be."
