Only twelve campers, ages 8-15, are accepted per session. Our unique camp offers your student professional training with their own personal riding instructor in Hunter/Jumper and Western riding and roping. Camp includes a variety of horsemanship programs and trail rides daily, pre-vet courses and science labs which include administering shots and taking blood from a live horse, daily Bible study, riverside saddlebag lunches or dinners on the trail, sing-a-long camp fires and memories they will cherish forever. There's a lot of HORSIN' AROUND here at the Tennessee Guest Ranch because each National Horse Camper receives his or her 'very own' Guest Ranch Horse at check in...for the duration of their stay! This horse will become your child's faithful companion during their National Horse Camp adventure! This one or two week long program is a 'horse power' experience your kids will never forget! Students spend hours upon hours in the saddle under the direction of well-trained equestrian instructors. Young Equestrians at the Tennessee Guest Ranch learn about horses from the ground up! Veterinary Science is a critical component of this incredible program! Each young equestrian will acquire an enormous "in depth" knowledge of veterinary science and animal husbandry. We are only 17.0 miles from Watt Road at I-75/I-40 in West Knoxville and close to the same distance from the South-West end of Oak Ridge. Blue Point Stables, LLC offers both Day Camps (labeled as our "Buckaroo" Camps) and Week long OVERNIGHT CAMPS (labeled as our "Horse Lovers" Camps). We have been hosting our successful horse camps for well over a decade! Many of our campers have so much fun, that they return year after year. Blue Point Stables has enjoyed the pleasure of working with clients and return campers from all over America and other Countries as well.

We cater to girl and boy campers whom have an interest in horses; with an age range of 6 to 16. Our four and five day Buckaroo Day Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day (7 hours of equine camper fun each day, 35 hours overall), Monday through Thursday and Friday, respectively. For our Horse Lovers Week Long Overnights, Campers arrive at 09:00 a.m. on Monday morning and are picked up at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon (103 continuous hours of fun at our Equine Camp)!

Our equine camps are about a whole lot more than just riding the horse. We focus on instructing our campers to learn proper riding and horsemanship skills. Through a week long camp most camper's skills become enhanced on a daily basis. Campers are usually assigned a primary horse to ride and take care of each day. They usually enjoy learning how to properly clean and re-bed a stall, while providing fresh waters to their assigned horse. In most camps, through the week at some point, campers get to view and learn how a Farrier preforms a necessary shoeing for one or more horses.

On most days we are able to get in several riding lessons for each camper. The campers also enjoy arts and crafts, Stable Management classes, equine demonstrations, games and swimming in our above ground pool at the end of the day. Campers stay very active learning about horses throughout each camp day. Often the parents applaud us because their Buckaroo Day Campers usually sleep "sound as a rock" at night, after returning home from a fun, action packed day at one of our camps.

We are revving up for another great summer of camp. For those of you who have children eager to be with horses this is the camp for you. We offer beginner and intermediate instruction for children ages 5-15. Children will have hands on experience looking after horses, they will learn the basics of horsemanship and English riding or they will improve the basics they have learned with us in previous camps and through our lesson program.
