There's a lot of HORSIN' AROUND here at the Tennessee Guest Ranch because each National Horse Camper receives his or her 'very own' Guest Ranch Horse at check in...for the duration of their stay! This horse will become your child's faithful companion during their National Horse Camp adventure! This one or two week long program is a 'horse power' experience your kids will never forget! With only 10-12 campers allowed per session, parents can rest at ease and know that each child will receive all of the personal attention they need during their stay at our Tennessee Guest Ranch.

Students spend hours upon hours in the saddle under the direction of well-trained equestrian instructors. Whether it’s Hunter/Jumper Lessons, Western Trail Riding, Drill Team Performances, or Bareback Games campers always have a blast all while improving their horsemanship skills each time they mount their trusty steeds! Young Equestrians at the Tennessee Guest Ranch learn about horses from the ground up! While learning and caring for their horse daily, participating in feeding and nutritional programs, hoof care and farrier education and medical care...each horse lover will also learn all about what the Bible has to say about horses and all of God's magnificent creation surrounding the Ranch!

Veterinary Science is a critical component of this incredible program! Each young equestrian will acquire an enormous "in depth" knowledge of veterinary science and animal husbandry. For the serious horse enthusiasts who are considering becoming a veterinarian, there's even more to learn in our pre-veterinarian courses! It's horses, horses, horses from sun up til' sun down. At the Tennessee International Guest Ranch,each camper receives their 'very own' horse according to skill level and for the entire camp. Only twelve campers, ages 8-15, are accepted per session. Our unique camp offers your student professional training with their own personal riding instructor in Hunter/Jumper and Western riding and roping. Camp includes a variety of horsemanship programs and trail rides daily, pre-vet courses and science labs which include administering shots and taking blood from a live horse, daily Bible study, riverside saddlebag lunches or dinners on the trail, sing-a-long camp fires and memories they will cherish forever. We are only 17.0 miles from Watt Road at I-75/I-40 in West Knoxville and close to the same distance from the South-West end of Oak Ridge. Blue Point Stables, LLC offers both Day Camps (labeled as our "Buckaroo" Camps) and Week long OVERNIGHT CAMPS (labeled as our "Horse Lovers" Camps). We have been hosting our successful horse camps for well over a decade! Many of our campers have so much fun, that they return year after year. Blue Point Stables has enjoyed the pleasure of working with clients and return campers from all over America and other Countries as well.

We cater to girl and boy campers whom have an interest in horses; with an age range of 6 to 16. Our four and five day Buckaroo Day Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day (7 hours of equine camper fun each day, 35 hours overall), Monday through Thursday and Friday, respectively. For our Horse Lovers Week Long Overnights, Campers arrive at 09:00 a.m. on Monday morning and are picked up at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon (103 continuous hours of fun at our Equine Camp)!

Our equine camps are about a whole lot more than just riding the horse. We focus on instructing our campers to learn proper riding and horsemanship skills. Through a week long camp most camper's skills become enhanced on a daily basis. Campers are usually assigned a primary horse to ride and take care of each day. They usually enjoy learning how to properly clean and re-bed a stall, while providing fresh waters to their assigned horse. In most camps, through the week at some point, campers get to view and learn how a Farrier preforms a necessary shoeing for one or more horses.

On most days we are able to get in several riding lessons for each camper. The campers also enjoy arts and crafts, Stable Management classes, equine demonstrations, games and swimming in our above ground pool at the end of the day. Campers stay very active learning about horses throughout each camp day. Often the parents applaud us because their Buckaroo Day Campers usually sleep "sound as a rock" at night, after returning home from a fun, action packed day at one of our camps.

As opposed to horse camps, our program is all based on Horsemanship Education, students receive a 30 minute riding lesson (actual riding time), and the rest of the time they will learn about stable management and horse care. Midland Farms camp is available to children ages 7-18 whether they have their own horse or not. Children with their own horse would be allowed to bring their horse. Students without a horse are welcome to use the horses provided. We also have helmets for them to wear. "Painted Key" Summer Horse Camp

Gait Keeper Farm partnered with Painted Moon Farm.

Campers will spend their day riding and learning about horses and ponies. Each camper will ride up to twice a day. Other activities include learning about daily care, the anatomy of the horse, breeds, colors, demonstrations from professionals, lunch, crafts, river stomping and much more. Our camp goal is to educate while having fun with our horses and friends. Your child will enjoy their day filled with pony fun!

Hosted at Gait Keeper Farm. GKF is a boutique full service barn geared towards hunters and jumpers from new beginners to Grand Prix show jumping. GKF's goal is to develop confident, quality horses and confident correct riders.

Camp options are from true beginners to the most advanced.

We have instructors and counselors that can meet your child at his or her level and make their experience here at camp awesome. There is a low instructor to counselor to camper ratio. Supervision and safety is our main concern.

Example of daily activities
9:00 Introductions, meet horses and a devotional
9:30 Groom and Tack up
10:30 Riding
12:00 lunch and river time
1:00 Games on horseback or craft
2:00 Groom horses and clean stalls
3:00 Popsicles and Parents. Let's cool off and call it a day!

CAMPERS WILL RIDE UP TO 2 TIMES A DAY!

While this is a very basic layout, it will give you an idea of how we spend our day.

Campers requirements:
•Wear long pants and a tee-shirt (no tank tops)
•Have paddock boots or appropriate shoe. No hiking boots or tennis shoes ( bring a pair of shoes you can get wet; old sneakers or crocks: water shoes are only for down by the river)
•You are encouraged to bring your own helmet if you have one. If you do not have one, the farm has helmets available for use. Bike helmets ARE NOT allowed.
•Bring lunch packed in a cooler and a water bottle with name on it and a towel.
•Bring a pair of shorts and sun screen.
•If you have long hair please wear it tied back in a ponytail or braid.

Cost: $350.00 A deposit/application fee of $50 must accompany this registration form(s) in order for your space to be reserved. The $50 deposit/application fee is non-refundable and will be applied to the total amount due for the camp selected below. The remaining camp fee is due on or before the first day of camp.
