Summer horsemanship day camps in June! All ages and ranges of experience. One camp session is reserved for adults only. Camp activities are tailored to the comfort levels of each week's participants. We emphasize a practical, hands-on approach. Students ride every day. Our campers experience a unique and exciting schedule that keeps each day fresh, fun, and educational. Here’s a glimpse at a typical day with us:

? Horseback Riding (30–60 minutes daily)

For experienced riders: Enjoy trail rides and bareback riding for an exciting and confidence-building experience.
For beginner riders: Gain confidence in the arena before heading out on supervised trail rides to develop skills in a safe and supportive environment.
? Vaulting Group Lesson (30 minutes daily) – on the barrel horse

Campers will practice vaulting moves on our specially designed barrel horse, improving balance, strength, and confidence in a fun and safe group setting.
? Trick Riding Group Lesson (30 minutes daily) – on the barrel horse

Using our trick riding barrel horse, campers will learn exciting moves and techniques that build coordination and agility while working together as a team.
? Horse Care & Barn Management (1–2 hours daily)

Each camper is assigned their own horse or pony to care for (this is separate from their riding horse). They will take on real responsibilities, including feeding, grooming, stall cleaning, and ensuring their horse’s well-being.

Horseback camp is divided into two periods that equate to a 9:00am-4:00pm schedule. Mornings are spent at the stables, where campers have the opportunity to learn horsemanship skills and have a riding lesson. Later in the afternoon, campers can enjoy fun activities to round out a day at the barn.
No experience with horses is needed. Riders will be learning proper horse care and management including grooming, pre ride perperations (gooming, tacking up, ect.) how to walk, trot, steer, and jump small jumps while riding in groups. This will be with or without assistance depending on the level of the rider. Students should not expect to do any canter work. Activities are introductory to horses and focus on having fun with the basics.

Campers in our horseback program receive a riding lesson each day until the last day when they have an opportunity to display those skills for parents in our “riding show". The show is also designed as an opportunity for parents to meet with their children’s instructors.

If your child is unsure whether or not he or she would enjoy a full week of horseback camp, we suggest they try a horseback lesson at Jared Beasley Sport Horses with one of our 2 Trainers beforehand. If you are interested in hourly horseback lessons, please call Jared at .
Camp cost is 375.00. Snacks drinks will be provided, we do require that parents pack lunch for campers. A non refundable deposit is required. Your child is required to have there own helmet, wear long pants and footwear with a 1 inch heal.
