I am an FEI dressage trainer and instructor who offer lessons on your horse or a lesson horse if you don’t have your own horse yet. I concentrate on correct and soft riding, creating a supple horse from engaging the hind end and carrying itself on the forehand. Working on teaching the rider how to correctly achieve this suppleness through the correct use of seat and aids to help the horse. I also offer various training packages for your horse to either get them tuned up for show season or just get them ready for their rider. Crystal has been teaching horseback riding lessons in the California Bay Area for more than a decade and has successfully brought students of all ages along from their first ride to the show ring and horse ownership. Now relocated to the Austin, Texas area she is available for lessons, training, and clinics. A United States Dressage Foundation Silver Medalist, Crystal herself is an active competitor in the dressage show arena and has competed through Intermediate while schooling all the Grand Prix. Some of her accolades include receiving the California Dressage Society Jane Jackson Scholarship which she used for clinics with George Williams and Alfredo Hernandez. She also received a grant from the Dressage Foundation for USDF instructor certification. She was a USDF All Breeds Champion and CDS East Bay Chapter champion in 2014, in years prior was open third champion and reserve training level.
