This year my situation has changed some and allows me to teach both at home and travel.
I would love to connect with barns that are looking for an additional trainer to come in weekly or monthly that specializes in helping riders of all disciplines find balance and harmony with their horse.

As a competitor/trainer and a judge, I am able to bring both perspectives to lessons.
I specifically compete in the sport of Dressage and Eventing, but I have been bringing the basics of dressage to other disciplines for years.
All of my students that jump can attest to why flatwork is crucial to building a more rideable and balanced round and how that transfers into our jump lessons.
I am especially passionate about educating all riders about correct communication with our equine partners.

Our home facility is located in Millbrook, NY, where we offer a quiet, drama-free environment for those looking for a peaceful, supportive place to learn and connect with their horses.

We utilize classical schooling principles to strengthen and develop healthy riding horses. We are noncompetitive. We practice dressage for the fitness and therapeutic value that it offers horses when executed correctly over time.

Horsemanship and liberty lessons/audits are available at our home farm. Our relationship-based horsemanship educational program teaches participants about horse care, herd dynamics, body language, animal communication, biomechanics, and much more. Students can participate in an array of activities with horses including round pen work, academic line work, trick training, obstacle challenges, jumping, trail, and classical dressage, both in-hand and under saddle.

The name “Miroir du Cheval”, loosely translated, means “Mirror of the Horse”.

Here at MC Equestrian we strive to offer professional, fun, educated instruction and training to both the horse and rider. Our approach to training/teaching is that the horse is a direct reflection of the rider’s own biomechanics.

The definition of biomechanics is: "The study of the mechanical laws relating to the movement or structure of living organisms."

Clinician Cody Harrison is here to assist you and your horse through your own individual journey. Regardless of where you currently are in your journey or how far you aspire to go with your equine partner, Cody can help set you up to be successful and show you how to communicate clearly so you and your horse can truly enjoy your partnership.

Each and every horse and rider have their own path to follow in order to reach their goal. When working with Cody through clinics, lessons, training, or our Immersion Program, he will help you find the path that fits you and your horse’s needs. Your path will be unlike everyone else. Cody believes that we and our horses are all unique and we should remain as individuals.

Time frames are not important when you learn to enjoy and trust the path you are on rather than trying to rush to complete your goals. It takes time to learn how to communicate with your horse and explain what you are asking, and then give them the time they need to develop and actually learn the exercises. When you take it day by day, month by month you will be surprised at how fast the progress actually comes.

When working with Cody you will learn to truly feel what your horse is doing and how they feel in that moment. How they feel physically, energetically, and emotionally. Cody takes all of these things into consideration for both the horse and its rider.

Cari rode her first GP horse with Wolfgang May when she had just turned 17 and spent close to 6 years working with him and several other of the Tempel Farms riders, as she became a trainer there when she turned 18. Cari has over 50 years of experience as a professional. She was a WS to Olympic coach Melle Van Bruggen and then spent 5 years working for Olympic team member John Winnett. Cari also has worked for or lessoned/cliniced with many, many top international known trainers such as Natalie Lamping, George Williams, Kathy Connelly, Mette Rosencranz, Hans Biss, Col. Hans Mueller, and Robert Dover. Having been on the board of the IDCTA for many years, Cari was privileged to have access to the clinics at Tempel Farms with Gunter Seidel, Conrad Schumacher, and Reiner Klimke. She always takes full advantage of every opportunity to learn everything she can in order to pass that knowledge along to her students. Her students and horses have won many local, state and regional championships and she herself won several National and Grand National Championships before she was 18, training Paso Finos for Rancho Del Rosa, first in IL and then in North Carolina. This enabled her to finance her dressage passion and to buy her first nice horse from Bodo Hangen, who kindly made it available to her for a reasonable price.
