Mindy has been an instructor and trainer with Blackshire for many years. She has a large clientele base who are interested in competitive dressage and some of whom show on the recognized circuit. Mindy's students, both youth and amateur have consistently distinguished themselves in Region 4, winning many Jr/Yg Rider and Adult Team Championships as well as individual high points and many many Regional Championships. Mindy has become renown throughout the Midwest as one of the finest instructors available. She is easily able to translate her riding knowledge to her students, who then have gone on to do great things. Mindy is herself quite accomplished and has attained many National Awards throughout her years as an instructor and rider. She is in a constant state of learning and bettering herself, frequently clinicing with European instructors and weekly lessons with "S" judge Marlene Schneider. Reanna Stables is a full service facility offering lessons, training, boarding and sales of Friesians and Friesian Sporthorses. Shanna is the dressage trainer at our facility and teaches all ages and has a way to teach you that you will understand. She has been riding dressage since she was 10 yrs old and has won numerous championships and awards along the way. We have several horses we use for lessons, several are also show horses and are great teachers. We will match you with the horse depending on your experience level. Forty-five minutes of one-on-one classical dressage instruction.
Developing the use of a correct seat that is balanced, straight and supple.
Lesson structure strongly emphasizes student and horse safety, while encouraging students to become independent and confident riders.
Lessons will include proper grooming and horse handling skills as needed.
Lessons incorporate positive re-enforcement with horse and rider to achieve ultimate harmony.
Lesson methodology includes the teachings of Jill Hassler-Scoop and Eckart Meyners.
