Located in the Napa Valley area. I am 26 years old and have been training horses and people for the last 14 years. I have professionally trained cutting, reining cow horses, barrel horses, started colts and worked with problem horses . I am a money earner in NCHA, NRCHA, NRHA. My training program specializes in all aspects of western riding with an emphasis on cutting, reining and starting colts. I work with all levels of riding and all ages. Training takes place in both the arena and on the trail with lots of hills and cattle . These clinics are specifically designed to cover the BASIC skills you’ll need to become a more confident rider and to lead your horse through a safe, pleasurable and rewarding trail ride. Each clinic can build on the skills learned in prior clinics.

Informal Class and ground work (9:00-12:00)
Each clinic session will begin with an informal “class” covering:
~ Mental skills- self talk, focus, muscle relaxation
~ What makes a good trail horse- personality, education,
conformation.
~ Equipment and Rider Attire- Tack and clothing
~ Basic Nutrition- Horse and Human
~ Ground work and mounted skills

Mounted Skill Instruction (1:00- 3:00)
Following the informal class and ground work I will concentrate on mounted skill instruction. It will focus on confidence, and safe riding practices used both on and off the trails. I am please to offer horse training in most western performance disciplines with a focus on starting young horses and laying a solid foundation. My training program is tailored to each horses needs with the same end result in mind; a well balanced horse both physically and mentally. Those results are achieved through kind techniques that always put the horse first. I strive to achieve a willing partner that enjoys his/her job. Colt/horse training with boarding at peaceful 7 acre farm set 1 mile from nearest paved road, ideal setting for quiet, focused 1:1 work on ground manners, building trust/confidence, halter breaking and under saddle. Work with older horses for Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Gymkhana, General Horsemanship, Trail Riding with obstacle desensitization.
