We have a 44 acre farm located in the heart Chelsea Alabama. We are located only 1.2 miles from Publix and 1.8 miles from Walmart. We have a small working farm with chickens , mini pigs, goats ,etc with one lake and a small pond. We are looking for a select few boarders that are very family oriented. A maximum of 5 spots will be available. We currently are only pasture boarding and may allow stall boarding in the future. A 4000 plus square foot barn is on premise. We also use it for turning during inclement weather. We have a large outdoor jumping arena with hunter and jumper jumps of all shapes and sizes. We offer private, semi private, and group turnout. We offer full stall board, pasture board as well as group and private lessons.

We are a private full-service boarding facility that offers multiple boarding options. We offer training board, show board/rehabilitation/hospice care, full board and specialized pasture board. We offer private 30 minute or semiprivate 45 lessons on our school masters. We offer partial leases on our school masters and lesson horses. Our facility features 12 stalls in our show/training barn, we provide individual tack lockers per boarder. We have a separate barn for our schooling horses and lesson program with its own tack room. We offer two wash stalls with hot and cold water and a washing machine to keep your necessities clean. We offer a 20/40-meter small dressage arena in front of our show barn as well as well as a full sized 20/60-meter dressage arena at the top of our property with superb footing and beautiful views of the valley. We have a huge jump/working equitation arena a round pen and a cross-country field with great terrain changes. We have 4 grass filled pastures and 6 shade paddocks, so our horses have the best of both worlds grass at night and shade in the heat. We feed high end textured feed and timothy/orchard grass hay.

We do things differently at GKM Equestrian in our lesson program, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. You will also get to experience many different types of saddles and bridles used in other riding disciplines. Our students are competent and knowledgeable about horse care and safety which allows their learning and riding to blossom with confidence. We are a small, dedicated professional equine facility, so we go for quality not quantity and don't crank out a lot of lessons each day. This ensures the horses' good health and a slow pace that riders can actually enjoy their lessons and get to know and love our equine athletes.

Most of our students are schooling lower-level dressage and beginning the foundation for jumping. Some of our students are of our boarders have competitively shown in mid to upper-level Dressage. We also have some Hunt Seat riders with impressive show histories. We own several school masters for the upper-level riders to enjoy. We also play around with the working equitation as is provides some fun challenges to our horses and riders.

We are conveniently located to Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Hoover, Irondale, Trussville, Leeds and Moody. We are a 20-minute drive from downtown Birmingham.
