Small barn with 6 stalls offering horse boarding. Horses are stalled and turned out daily (day or night) if desired, weather permitting. Current horses in the barn are show horses. Trail horses are also welcome. Stalls have rubber mats, lights with timers to ensure those slick hair coats year round, high velocity fans, and a fly misting system. Hot water wash stall, coastal bermuda hay and premium Purina grain fed twice daily, (alfalfa available for additional charge), large stalls, customized turnout in multiple pastures to meet your needs, day or night on lush established pastures. Rye grass planted in winter for winter grazing. Riding arena with sand footing which drains quickly, as well as trails. Horse walker/exerciser available to keep horses fit and conditioned. Tack room has dehumidifier, along with individual cabinets provided for personal horse supply storage. Comfortable lounge seating area with refrigerator stocked with water, Gatorade and refreshments included with board. Barn washing machine for blankets, pads, polos & misc. Daily Blanketing as weather requires. Horses are fly sprayed daily before turnout. Primary discipline is Reining, Western Dressage, Ranch Riding and Ranch Horse events, but all are welcome. We are a private full-service boarding facility that offers Private 30 minute or Private one-hour lessons, leasing, training, rehabilitation, elder/hospice care. Our Training Board is $1600 a month, Full Board is $950 a month, Show/Rehab/Hospice Board is $1,200 a month and specialized pasture board is $750.

Our facility features 12 stalls in our show/training barn, we provide individual tack lockers per boarder. We have a separate barn for our schooling horses and lesson program with its own tack room. We offer two wash stalls with hot and cold water and a washing machine to keep your necessities clean. We offer a 20/40-meter small dressage arena in front of our show barn as well as well as a full sized 20/60-meter dressage arena at the top of our property with superb footing and beautiful views of the valley. We have a huge jump/working equitation arena a round pen and a cross-country field with great terrane changes. We have 4 grass filled pastures and 6 shade paddocks, so our horses have the best of both worlds grass at night and shade in the heat. We feed high end textured feed and timothy/orchard grass hay.

We offer boarding to all types of horses and riders. We are home to Grand Prix dressage horses to gentled wild mustangs and everything in between. We have an array of farm animals to keep your horses well desensitized and a pack of dogs who keep our farm animals safe.

We do things differently at GKM Equestrian in our lesson program, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. You will also get to experience many different types of saddles and bridles used in other riding disciplines. Our students are competent and knowledgeable about horse care and safety which allows their learning and riding to blossom with confidence. We are a small, dedicated professional equine facility, so we go for quality not quantity and don't crank out a lot of lessons each day. This ensures the horses' good health and a slow pace that riders can actually enjoy their lessons and get to know and love our equine athletes.

Most of our students are schooling lower-level dressage and beginning the foundation for jumping. Some of our students are of our boarders have competitively shown in mid to upper-level Dressage. We also have some Hunt Seat riders with impressive show histories. We own several school masters for the upper-level riders to enjoy. We also play around with the working equitation as is provides some fun challenges to our horses and riders.

We are conveniently located to Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Irondale, Trussville, Leeds and Moody. We are a 20-minute drive from downtown Birmingham.
