Located in Sylmar, less than 30 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, we offer safe and immediate access to hundreds of miles of beautiful trails in the Angeles National Forest and Hansen Dam Recreation Area (one of the very few horse parks left in Los Angeles County). When you visit us, you will enjoy nature at its best – shady trees, cool breezes, year-round streams, abundant wildlife, and scenic views of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Our horse boarding facility is nestled within a rural, country setting in the rolling hills of the Northeast San Fernando Valley…a place for the true horse lover and trail rider.
We Offer…
Covered pipe stalls (no shavings provided; sizes 12’X24’ and 12’X20’).
Box stalls (shavings included 12’X12’).
In and Outs (shavings included; area in 12’X12’, area out 12’X12’).
Automatic waterers in all stalls.
A semi-private tack room is included with all stalls. Private tack rooms are optional for an extra fee.
We feed high quality alfalfa twice a day and clean all stalls once a day.

We offer a variety of boarding options including large half covered pipe stalls & permanent inside and outdoor stalls. Full training, lessons, and care packages can be added as well. Bay Ridge Farm, a business formed by Jeff Katz and Bud Wolf, over 30 years ago, has turned out top horses and riders every year. The barn's atmosphere is positive and personal, and is supportive of individuals' goals and interests in all aspects of show horsemanship. Bay Ridge prides itself on teaching and being successful showing with young children in the Short Stirrup division, to Grand Prix amateurs and professionals.

Bay Ridge has a rigorous "care" program for each horse in the barn. Our grooms are selected with great care, and are reviewed and monitored on a daily basis. We have a nutrition program designed to meet the needs of each horse we care for, and review our horses' health and well-being every day. Owners' preferences in feed and supplements are carefully discussed and changed as horses' work and programs change. We have very close relationships with our veterinarians and our farrier, and make sure that communications are open between them.

Horse boarding

Synergy Ranch offers specialized boarding for senior/retirement horses. It is our belief that senior horses benefit greatly by being fed in individual stalls and then turned out for exercise and socialization during the day. The horses in our care are turned out after the morning feed and then brought back to their individual stalls for the evening feed. This avoids competition over feed and ensures each horse gets their feed, supplements and medication while still benefitting from the exercise and socialization of pasture turnout. This is important as all horses have individually prepared diets. If desired, owners can provide additional supplements. Owner provided supplements and medication that can be added to a horse’s feed bucket are fed by our staff at no additional charge. We also blanket each horse at no additional charge. Our facility is in the high desert and experiences all four seasons. We can get below freezing with snow on the ground in the winter time so we require owners to supply a blanket for their horse. We will then blanket as needed at no additional charge. We are active in maintaining the health and well-being of each horse. Our farrier is on site weekly and all horses are trimmed and/or shod as needed. Our vet has all horses on a schedule for vaccinations and dental. While the owner is responsible for all farrier and vet costs, we will hold your horse and assist as needed at no additional charge. The best trail riding is right out our back gate without the need to ride on streets at all. You can trail ride down into Hansen Dam, or up Little Tujunga Canyon and into the Angeles National Forest. Trail rides can be as easy or as challenging as you would like.
