BRAND NEW: We are a family owned/run small ranch. Just minutes south of Des Moines, Iowa. Affordable price and on site owners provide the loving care your horse needs. We provide full service stall or pasture boarding, overnight horse boarding, Indoor 120 ft x 60 ft Arena, 12 x 12 stalls. 80 acres of timber and pasture ground. We also have a 40 person banquet/meeting room with temperature controlled viewing area of arena with public restroom. Great for visitors. Trails and Miles of secluded gravel roads for your riding pleasure. We don't just board horses we interact with the horses. Riding arena available to all paid boarders 24/7. Our Ranch is between Otter Creek Park and Stephens Forest for additional trail riding pleasure.
Basic Riding lessons are available for all ages year round. We also rent our meeting room for any function. We provide kid pony ride birthday parties year round. You may call to rent the indoor arena for horse or dog practice. If you don't own a horse and want to trail ride we offer 1 hour long guided pleasure / trail rides for those wanting to just get up and go on a beautiful scenic horseback ride in Iowa. up to 3 people for 1 guide year round (excluding December and weather permitting)

Breeding/boarding/training facility with knowledgeable, experienced horse owners. Because we are essentially a breeding farm, we, the owners, have dealt with and/or raised hundreds, if not thousands of horses over the past 20 years. I don't think there is a *horse emergency* that we have not dealt with. Vet, farrier, and/or previous boarders/owners references upon request.
While we specialize in raising and training - cow bred - APHA horses, we do not discriminate according to discipline. LOL Currently boarding: dressage/eventer (w/trainer), 4-H horses, reining horses (w/ trainer), western pleasure, english pleasure, and several trail horses - to include a donkey, and a mini!
We are not a 'show barn', we are a very laid back, and easy going facility. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, and 'boring' doesn't bother you....you and your horse will feel very welcome here.

Horses boarded at High Point live in luxury. Each horse is treated to daily turnout, top quality feed, and their stall cleaned 7 days per week. Horses can choose to live the natural life outside with pasture board, or for the pampered equine 12x12 stalls are available. All boarders can take advantage of the 150x200 outdoor and 140x60 indoor arena which are watered and drug to keep footing at an optimal consistency and dust to an absolute minimum. Horses receive daily turnout weather permitting in one of our large outdoor pastures complete with run in shed, water, and hay for all day munching.

Trainers are available on the property. Offering lessons in hunter/jumper, and dressage. Safe and reliable school horses are available if you do not have your own horse. Haul in lessons are also welcome! Providing lessons and training for the beginner horse and rider up to the seasoned competitors!
