Empire Equestrian is the Wilmington area's newest boarding facility. We offer a small private setting that allows boarders to enjoy their horse/pony to the fullest. Board starts at $500 per month and includes 12x12 matted stall cleaned daily with access to private paddock, grain 2-3 times per day, high quality timothy hay 2-3 times per day, private turnout on grass pasture. The facility is fully fenced in with woven no-climb wire. It also has a 100'x200' grass arena with jumps.

Owner/trainer, Mackenzie Ring, offers hunter/jumper lessons and training at affordable rates. She also takes her students to schooling and rated shows. Since this is a small facility, boarding is only available for lesson students or horses/ponies in for training.... See More

the Meadows is a private, secluded 73 acre farm with extensive wooded trails, full regulation jump set, competition size large outdoor riding ring, cross country jumps, wooden shed roe barns in for each pasture, hot water indoor wash rack, and a private center aisle barn... We are selectively taking on boarders for Winter 2018 of any discipline. 1 horse per acre on lush tifton / coastal grass (no small paddocks) top seeded with winter rye for year round grazing. Seminole and Nutrena top quality low starch feed and unlimited farm grown mixed hay provided. Thats right: You horse will always have free access organic hay or pasture to graze on, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Farrier service and vet service on site. The unique feature of this property will be the design. Horses have free access barns in their large pastures, board and post fencing with smooth no climb wire. Blanketing service provided within reason. We use sand in high traffic areas to minimize moisture/mud in winter months. Never worry about your horse having been brought in or out again! They will be snug with hay and shelters in the winter, and shaded by trees, shelters, with plenty of pasture grass in the summer.
If you are looking for a more private, low key place.....to spend time with family, trail ride all day, and have a space of your own to do your own thing, or head out for a trail ride with the gang, then The Meadows is the place for you. Head instructor and owner, Karen Halpryn Mealey, has a BA in Equine Studies from Virginia Intermont College in 1990, and was the recipient of the outstanding teaching award. Assistant Instructor/Barn Manager, Mackenzie Ring is a long time student of Karen's, she specializes in the beginner and timid riders.
