Horse Boarding in North Carolina

We are a 35 acre horse boarding, training, riding and having fun facility located 2.5 miles from I40 in Davie County. We have 11, 14’x12’ matted stalls, 6 of which have double doors leading out to a dry lot and a pasture beyond.

Our lighted arena is 250’ x 225’ with a full complement of cheerful and welcoming jumps. We also have trails and open fields with poles and cavalettis for pleasure riding. Cedar Creek runs along the eastern boarder of the property.

Horses have individual fans, fresh, clean well water, mats and pine shavings, and unlimited and frequently analyzed orchard grass. There is an indoor wash stall with hot and cold water, and an outdoor wash area with cross ties and unheated water. There is also a farrier/vet/grooming bay with lights, electricity and hot and cold water.
Horses turn out in small groups in large paddocks at night.
Barn manager lives on site.

Hunter Lessons and Training by Tracie Shutt of Tracie Shutt Equestrian (TSE). Open to dressage trainers with prior approval.
Included in full board is blanketing, muzzling, bell boots as needed, administration of meds and owner provided supplements. Stalls are cleaned throughout the day.

Fly control is optimal with Solitude, Fly Predators, and composting manure.
Trailer parking is available.

We have opened three brand new pastures for full care pasture board one pasture is good for 3 horses, other two are the perfect size for two. Very shaded. Just seeded. Very safe and ready for occupancy. Camping with your horses is encouraged here!

Currently, we have three available stalls, comprising one with an expansive run-out and two standard 12x16 stalls. Our equestrian center has a 190x300 arena, sizable pastures, daily turnout, dual tack rooms, wash bay, and obstacle course. As owners reside on-site, security is ensured. Our full-care package includes farrier/vet holds, blanket, and fly mask services at no extra cost. Riding lessons are offered in English and Western disciplines for various age groups, alongside short and long-term horse tuning services. Strategically located in Cleveland, NC, we offer easy access from Mooresville, Huntersville, Statesville, and Mocksville.

We have 13, 12x12 matted stalls on a concrete center aisle with windows, LED lights. and are complete with fans for the summer. Hot/Cold wash stall, large climate controlled tackroom with lockers and a half bath for our boarders and a washer/dryer. We have wifi in the tackroom/lounge area that also powers our video security system. Large riding field solar lights available for night riding along with a full course of jumps.

Our owner/trainer specializes in teaching/training hunter and equitation riders and horses but also has experience in jumpers and lower level eventing. However, we welcome any discipline of horse and rider. We are a great barn for someone that likes a small, drama-free atmosphere. We are a women's noncompetitive no drama barn. We enjoy each other's company and like to ride alone and with each other. We have 15 rolling acres with full turnout at night and in paddocks with buddies in the day. My job is to take care of your horse as you would like them taken care of within the limits of what we do. I don't believe that horses enjoy being locked in a stall. We cut our board in half if we can gently include your beloved horse in our lesson and camp program. We teach a balanced seat English riding although many of our horses started Western. We begin our riders without tack. They "earn" their saddles and then "earn " their cloth reins on the halter and finally a bitless English bridle. We steer with our sitz bones and intention and no one is kicking or yanking on your horse's mouth. I treat boarder's horses as carefully as I treat my own three horses. This means that when you do come to ride, you can be assured that your horse has been exercised, groomed and cared for in a loving manner even if you had to work all week or were out of town. We are a natural horsemanship barn such as Ray Hunt hoped for the life of horses. This is the home of the federally trademarked "Women's Intuitive Riding" program.
