Blue Goose Stable, LLC is a full service boarding and training stable for the dressage rider and low level eventer. We focus on correct training and building the horses confidence in it's work and rider. We start young horses with natural horsemanship methods to give them the correrct basics and teaching them how to think. Located in beautiful Southern Chester County we are on 25 acres in Londonderry Twp and now have a sister facility in West Grove PA at Yarmouth Stables. We have 20 stalls, an 80 x 200 indoor, heated lounge, private tack lockers, men and womens locker room, two out door arenas. WaterGap is open to the public for boarding, lessons and training. We offer training and lessons (group, semi-private and private) in Hunter/jumper, western, saddleseat (English) and driving. We can get your unbroke horse under saddle, fine tune your broke or problem horse or help you finish your own horse. We offer daily care, unlimited hay, and clean stalls for your horse. We use kiln dried pine shavings for bedding on top of rubber stall mats. We also have a multi horse discount and outdoor riding ring and storage for your use. Free trailer parking. We will be starting a very aggressive fly program this spring. We will be treating all horse feed with Solitude IGR. It is a pass through fly control method . It does NOT kill adult flies, but when eggs are laid in the treated manure the larva do not develop properly and they die. It has been proven safe and effective. So this year All the manure will be a fly attractant/killer. I have small pens near the barn for daily turnout/ even 24/7 when they can't be in the meadows depending on the weather. Enables me to much better manage the meadows. I manage the meadows with first priority being ensuring healthy grass. I will turnout horses on grass as much as possible. However if your horse must be limited on grass that is no problem. We grow our own hay--so I know what I am feeding! However we want all boarders to supply any grain/sweetfeed they want because everybody wants something different. Hay and grain are fed twice a day in the summer and three times a day in the winter months. Daily turn out. We offer blanketing at no extra charge and have regularly scheduled farrier, veterinary, dental and worming. Clients have access to both indoor and outdoor lighted rings and round pen, as well as 33 acres of private trails with 50+ acres behind the property to ride. Special events for clients, such as bonfires and BBQ's, are held often. Boarders have access to the trainer everyday for any needs or questions that may arise with their horse. Private tack room available with cross ties and stall ties for boarders. We are a laid back facility specializing in competitive trail, western, english and dressage.
