Horse Boarding in Homer City, Pennsylvania (Indiana County)

Our beautiful barn is situated on 20 acres of pasture, we miles of trails and a 80x100 outdoor ring. Horses have access to good quality hay 24/7 and rows of shady pines to keep the heat off in the summer we also offer pasture boarding.

Full care only. Indoor, outdoor, daily turn out, ample bedding. Lessons training

12 x 12 stall, rubber mats on top of 6" sand to drain, pine sawdust.

On site barn hand on site. Owner lives 2 minutes from stables.

60' Diameter enclosed and covered round pen with lighting.

Access to 100' x 144' 20,000 SF (brand new) indoor pavilion style arena - not included with board but can be rented by the hour on weekends or open slots.

Access to 5 miles of groomed trails (with permission you can expand that area - lots of riding in this area, as well as Lin Run State Park)

Large parking lot.

Trailer Parking add $50/month.

Heated tack room

Restroom, toilet and sink.

Trailering available for hire by the mile or negotiated rate.

Loft upstairs use is negotiable for storing one locker (included).

Stalls are cleaned daily, fresh water/clean buckets.

Manure picked daily from stalls, run ins, and pastures

LOW fly population (we use Organic Cowboy bi-weekly fly predators to eliminate barn flies)

Hay and sawdust stored in separate barn on site to reduce dust and rodents.

Daily turnout to one of four 4-acre pastures with shelters.

Twice daily grain (board includes 1 full scoop per day)
If you have your own brand or supplements, bring it and we will feed, no problem.
We will do injections per Vet orders.
Board includes de-worming bi-annually.

Quality hay - Westmoreland County Fair Blue Ribbon (hay is not portioned - it is available 24/7 unless otherwise per Vet)

Hot/cold wash rack, infrared roof heater.

Negative Coggins required. UTD Vaccines and worming records, too.

Henderson Equestrian Complex is located in beautiful Western Pennyslvania, about 40 miles north of Pittsbugh. Henderson Equestrian Complex has been in business for over 30 years, founded by the late Brent Henderson in 1975. It is now owned and operated by Brent's daughter, Celina Henderson, and managed by Cortney Shipley, who carries a degree in Equine Management and Training from the University of Salem International. Henderson Equestrian Complex offers boarding, training, lessons, and various other activities throughout the year including horse shows, horse camp, and trail rides. Our facility includes a 60' and 120' indoor lighted arena, over 35 10' x 10' stalls, 2 outdoor riding rings, a covered roundpen, large turnout pastures, heated office and lounge area, 3 tack rooms, and a wash rack with hot and cold running water - all available to our clients to use at any time. Training is offered by Cortney Shipley, who carries a degree in Equine Management and Training from the University of Salem International -- along with 20 years of riding experience. She has successfully competed at the National level. We offer training in Hunt Seat, Western, and Saddle Seat. The majority of Henderson training horses are Arabians and Half-Arabians. However, all breeds are welcome. Henderson Equestrian Complex trainers are patient and work with their horses at the level appropriate for each individual equine. Lessons are also given by Cortney Shipley in western and english diciplines, preparing the rider for competing in horse shows or just learning the basics. Suter Boarding Stable, located on Poverty Hollow Road, Somerset, PA in the beautiful Laurel Highlands. Designed with the comfort of the horse and owner in mind, Suter Boarding Stable boasts a huge indoor arena (150 feet by 55 feet) with horse safe, low dust footing. The arena is separated from the horse stalls to keep your horse breathing quality air and prevent distractions when you are riding. All 10 by 12 foot stalls have thick rubber mats. Our feed of choice will be farm fresh cleaned oats from our pastures, and sweet feed. We make our own hay. Your horse will always have fresh, quality hay available.
