Horse Boarding in Albany, Georgia (Dougherty County)

We are a small boarding barn in Leesburg Georgia. We are mainly a trail riding barn. We have 15 stalls with 1-2 acre pastures attached so the horse can come and go as they please. You can come out and trail ride on the 800 acres that has hardwoods, pines, James pond, and the Kinchafoonee creek. We have a lounge, tack room, bathroom, arena, round pen, and wash rack. Tifton KOA is a equine friendly campground. We have a 6 stall horse barn and open pasture to graze.

Apafia Farm is a very different type of boarding facility. We offer a different atmosphere than other riding stables because we are not large and we do not do any type of showing. Our love is natural horsemanship both teaching and training. We do offer a round pen for training and a nice arena. We also have access to riding trails and have a very unique "natural horsemanship playground" to encourage you to have fun with your horse! We do not stall any horses unless they are hurt or injured. We have several subdivided pastures and do a very careful rotation of horses(from pasture to pasture) every couple of weeks to help keep our pastures in great shape for good grass! We offer two types of pasture boarding.

One type of pasture boarding is referred to as "co-op" boarding. With co-op pasture boarding the owners agree to help out with all the farm chores including mowing with a tractor; fertilizing; weed spraying; spreading poop; cleaning out water troughs; helping with rotation of horses; helping with farm projects that are scheduled in advance; taking a day or two for feeding up all the horses on the farm. Co-op boarding is actually fun and you can learn a great deal about taking care of your own place when a owner decides to buy their own land for their horses. Pasture management is very important and detailed.
Cost of this co-op boarding is $60.00 per horse.

The other type of pasture boarding is for the owner who does not have time to join us in the care of the farm/and or does not have time to feed up or join us in the farm activities. You supply the feed; and we agree to feed your horse(s). There are additional fees for worming your horse; giving shots to your horse; holding your horse for the farrier or vet. Triple J Farm is a family owned and operated business that offers horse boarding, training facilities, trail riding areas, and much more on more than 100 acres of land! We currently offer full stall board with turn out on your schedule (night/day). Each stall is 12x12 with feed and water stations in each.
